This study was a dose-ranging efficiacy study in patients with essential hypertension to assess the blood pressure lowering effect, and safety of LCZ696 compared to valsartan and placebo. The study will also evaluate the efficacy and safety of AHU377 as compared to placebo.
This 2-arm study will investigate the safety and tolerability of oseltamivir for the treatment of influenza in immunocompromised participants and characterize the effects of oseltamivir in immunocompromised participants on the development of resistant influenza virus. Eligible immunocompromised participants with laboratory-confirmed influenza will be randomized to receive either conventional dose (30 milligrams [mg] to 75 mg twice daily orally [po], depending on age and weight) or double dose (60 mg-150 mg twice daily po depending on age and weight) olseltamivir for 10 days. Nasal and throat swabs will be taken, and safety evaluations made, at intervals during the study. The anticipated time on study medication is 10 days and the anticipated time on study is 40 days.
This study will compare pregabalin and levetiracetam in patients with partial seizures. It will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of pregabalin and levetiracetam in these patients.
This 2 arm study will compare the efficacy and safety of Tarceva plus Avastin, and chemotherapy plus Avastin, in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Patients will be randomized to receive either Tarceva 150mg p.o. daily plus Avastin 15mg/kg i.v. every 3 weeks, or standard platinum-based chemotherapy (4-6 cycles) plus Avastin. The anticipated time on study treatment is until disease progression, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
The purpose of this study is to determine clinical and urodynamic risk factors for recurrent urinary tract infection in 5-18 years old children.
To evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of 3 doses of vernakalant (oral) (150 mg, 300 mg and 500 mg b.i.d.) administered for up to 90 days in subjects with sustained symptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF duration > 72 hours and < 6 months).
The purpose of this study is to determine whether treatment of Rosuvastatin (CRESTORâ„¢) or Simvastatin given as monotherapy or given in combination with Ezetimibe, will lower the Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C) in patients with Hypercholesterolaemia and Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) or a CHD Risk Equivalent, Atherosclerosis or a 10-year CHD Risk of >20%

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy (ACR20) of Rob 803 administered orally once daily for 12 weeks in combination with a stable dose of methotrexate in subjects with moderate or severe active RA.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of clobazam as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of seizures which lead to drop attacks (drop seizures) in patients 2 to 60 years of age with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). Patients will be enrolled at approximately 65 sites in the U.S. and ex-US for up to 23 weeks. Patients will be randomly assigned to either a low, medium or high dose, or placebo. The study will include a baseline period, a titration period and a maintenance period. After the maintenance period, patients will either continue into an open-label extension study or enter the taper period with a final visit 1 week after the last dose.
