There are about 7997 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Japan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess the bleeding safety (the composite endpoint of major and clinically relevant non-major bleeding) of 2 doses of apixaban (2.5 mg BID and 5.0 mg BID) or placebo in combination with standard therapy (aspirin and /or additional antiplatelet therapy) over a 24 week treatment period in selected subjects with recent (≤7 days) acute coronary syndrome.
The purpose of the study was to determine the efficacy, safety, and health-related quality of life benefits with FEIBA NF prophylactic treatment as compared with on-demand treatment.
The objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety and efficacy of certolizumab pegol as add-on medication to methotrexate over the long term in Japanese RA patients transferred from Study 275-08-001 (NCT00791999), and to evaluate the effects of different dosing regimens on the safety and efficacy of certolizumab pegol in American College of Rheumatology 20% (ACR20) responders who completed Study 275-08-001.
The objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety and efficacy of certolizumab pegol when administered without coadministration of methotrexate over the long term in Japanese RA patients who transferred from Study 275-08-003 (NCT00791921), and to evaluate the effects of different dosing regimens on the safety and efficacy of certolizumab pegol in American College of Rheumatology 20% (ACR20) responders who completed Study 275-08-003.
This research is being done to find out if Carboplatin and Taxane works better alone or when given with an experimental drug called MORAb-003(farletuzumab) in subjects with first platinum sensitive relapsed ovarian cancer.
The purpose of this study is to explore the maximum tolerated dose of E2007 in Japanese patients with refractory partial seizures which are uncontrolled with other anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs). Thirty patients will receive E2007 (dose escalating to the maximum of 12 mg per day). The dose of E2007 will be adjusted during 6 weeks. Subsequently, the dose will be fixed and maintained during 4 weeks.
Survival after invasive coronary revascularization is worse in patients with chronic kidney disease than in those without it. The investigators aimed to examine whether oral administration of nicorandil, a hybrid of nitrate and adenosine triphosphate-sensitive potassium channel opener, could improve the survival of end-stage renal disease patients with coronary artery disease by inhibiting cardiac death after coronary revascularization.
This is a global study of tear osmolarity using the OcuSense TearLab technology to compare tear samples of age and sex-matched normals with those with Dry Eye Disease (DED). Diagnosis of DED subjects will be established using objective and subjective tests. Positive responses to 3 out of 6 defined criteria determine subjects with DED. DED subjects will be further categorized by severity, using results from the objective and subjective tests. Subjects will be assessed at a single visit.
This study is designed to provide safety and efficacy data to support the development of CP-690,550 in patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis on background of methotrexate.
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the oral anti-diabetic drug, Thiazolidine (TZD) is effective in suppression of onset or progressin of diabetic nephropathy in Japanese type 2 diabetic patients.
