paradigmâ„¢ 2
Start date: April 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted in Africa, Asia, Europe, Japan and North America. The aim of this trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy, including pharmacokinetics (the rate at which the body eliminates the trial drug), of NNC-0156-0000-0009 (nonacog beta pegol) when used for treatment and prophylaxis of bleeding episodes in patients with haemophilia B.

NCT ID: NCT01332968 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

A Study of Obinutuzumab (RO5072759) Plus Chemotherapy in Comparison With Rituximab Plus Chemotherapy Followed by Obinutuzumab or Rituximab Maintenance in Patients With Untreated Advanced Indolent Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (GALLIUM)

Start date: July 6, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This open-label, randomized study will assess the efficacy and safety of obinutuzumab (RO5072759) in combination with chemotherapy compared to rituximab (MabThera/Rituxan) with chemotherapy followed by obinutuzumab or rituximab maintenance in participants with untreated advanced indolent non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. After the end of the induction period, participants achieving response (Complete response [CR] or partial response [PR]) will undergo a maintenance period continuing on the randomized antibody treatment alone every 2 months until disease progression for a total of 2 years. Anticipated time on study treatment is up to approximately 2.5 years. After maintenance or observation, participants will be followed for 5 years until progression. After progression, participants will be followed for new anti-lymphoma therapy and overall survival until the end of the study.

NCT ID: NCT01332409 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Special Drug Use Investigation for ADOAIR DISKUS COPD (Salmeterol and Fluticasone)

Start date: August 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To investigate possible problems or questions in safety and effectiveness of salmeterol and fluticasone in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (bronchitis chronic / emphysema). In this special drug use investigation, onset of pneumonia shall be handled as the priority investigation item.

NCT ID: NCT01332331 Terminated - Clinical trials for Hypertension, Pulmonary

Efficacy and Safety of Ambrisentan in Children 8-18yrs

Start date: January 4, 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A 6-month (24-week), randomized, open label evaluation of the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of a high and low dose ambrisentan (adjusted for body weight) treatment group in subjects aged 8 years up to 18 years with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). An additional objective is to determine the ambrisentan population pharmacokinetics in the paediatric population. The study will include a screening/baseline period and a treatment period. The treatment period will be 24 weeks or until the subject's clinical condition deteriorates to the point that alternative/additional treatment is necessary. Patients who participate in the study and in whom continued treatment with ambrisentan is desired will be eligible to enrol into a long term follow-up study. The primary comparison will be the safety and tolerability of the two ambrisentan dose groups (Low vs. High) in the paediatric PAH population The secondary comparison will be the change from baseline for the efficacy parameters between the two treatment groups.

NCT ID: NCT01331681 Completed - Diabetes Mellitus Clinical Trials

Intravitreal Aflibercept Injection in Vision Impairment Due to DME

VIVID-DME
Start date: May 9, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To determine the efficacy of intravitreally (IVT) administered VEGF Trap-Eye on the best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) assessed by the early treatment diabetic retinopathy study (ETDRS) chart in subjects with diabetic macular edema (DME) with central involvement

NCT ID: NCT01331239 Completed - Cushing Disease Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of LCI699 in Cushing's Disease Patients

Start date: March 23, 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This exploratory study is a proof of concept study to determine whether LCI699 can safely reduce the level of urinary free cortisol in patients with Cushing's disease. In addition, this study evaluated the long term efficacy and safety of LCI699 including an additional 12 week of treatment followed by a 12 month long term optional extension. A second extension provided patients who were clinically benefitting from LCI699 an opportunity to continue to have access to the drug until LCI699 was commercially available and reimbursed or through the availability of a local access program.

NCT ID: NCT01330316 Completed - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

A Rollover Study of BI 201335 in Combination With Pegylated Interferon-alpha and Ribavirin in Treatment-experienced Genotype 1 Hepatitis C Infected Patients
