There are about 7997 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Japan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This multicenter, single-arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of Atezolizumab in participants with PD-L1-positive locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Participants will receive Atezolizumab 1200 milligrams (mg) intravenously every 3 weeks as long as participants are experiencing clinical benefit as assessed by the investigator, that is , in the absence of unacceptable toxicity or symptomatic deterioration attributed to disease progression.
This study is designed to validate the Japanese electronic florbetapir (18F) interpretation training program intended for post-approval implementation in Japan.
This study investigated the dose response relationship for the efficacy and safety of BAF312 compared to placebo in active DM patients over a treatment period of 6+6 months and to determine the minimum dose required for a maximal clinical effect. The study was composed of 2 periods: a double-blind period 1 with BAF312 administered at different daily doses (0.5, 2, 10 mg and placebo) and a fixed-dose Period 2 in which BAF312 was administered at the dose of 2 mg daily .
The present clinical trial is aiming to evaluate efficacy of ARQ 197 in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), who were resistant or intolerable to one systemic chemotherapy regimen including sorafenib.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic, and immunogenic profiles of satralizumab, compared with placebo, in addition to baseline immunosuppressive treatment in participants with NMO and NMOSD.
The primary objective is to investigate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of BI 655075 following intravenous administration of single rising doses of BI 655075 when administered alone and after administration of dabigatran.
This study is an extension study to the pivotal study IgPro20_3003 (NCT01545076). The purpose of this extension study is to investigate the long-term treatment of CIDP with IgPro20, with regard to safety and efficacy. Subjects who have completed subcutaneous (SC) Week 25 or were successfully rescued from a CIDP relapse during the SC Treatment Period of pivotal study IgPro20_3003 (NCT01545076) will have the option to receive open-label low-dose IgPro20 (0.2 g/kg bodyweight [bw]) weekly for up to 48 weeks. Subjects relapsing on low-dose IgPro20 will either return to high-dose IgPro20 (0.4 g/kg) immediately or be discontinued, depending on investigator's judgment. Subjects returning to high-dose IgPro20 will continue on high-dose until they have completed a total of 48 weeks of IgPro20 treatment. If subjects do not successfully recover from CIDP relapse within 4 weeks, they will be withdrawn. The treatment duration will be up to 48 weeks, followed by a completion visit (week 49).
Antiplatelet therapy is indispensable for the prevention of stent thrombosis in patients who underwent coronary artery stenting. Similarly, anticoagulant therapy is essential for the prevention of cardiogenic embolism including cerebral infarction in AF patients. However, the combined antithrombotic therapy has been reported to increase the risk of major bleeding for AF patients after coronary stenting, New anticoagulant drugs that hardly interact with other drugs and do not need frequent blood tests have become commonly used. The purpose of this study is to assess the hypothesis that Rivaroxaban is non-inferior to Warfarin in the efficacy and safety for AF patients after coronary stenting
The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the effect of blueberry dry powder on glycemic status (fasting plasma glucose, 2h glucose concentration after the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), or HbA1c) in subjects with prediabetes.
Anaemia is a condition in which blood has a lower than normal number of red blood cells. It can also occur if red blood cells do not contain enough haemoglobin, an oxygen carrying part of blood. Anaemia is common in patients with chronic kidney disease. Healthy kidneys produce a hormone called erythropoietin, which stimulates the bone marrow to produce the proper number of red blood cells needed to carry oxygen to vital organs. Chronic kidney disease is a general term that means that the kidneys are not functioning to their full potential. The study drug, BAY85-3934, is being evaluated as a drug to increase the body's ability to produce erythropoietin. The purpose of this study is to find out if the study drug, a tablet taken orally, is safe and effective for the treatment of anaemia associated with chronic kidney disease. The study will enroll 120 patients at multiple locations in Europe, Asia and Australia. Participation will involve a screening visit and between 12 and 15 study visits scheduled over a period of approximately 5 to 7 months. The estimated total duration of study treatment will be 16 weeks. During these scheduled visits patients will undergo a number of procedures to confirm efficacy and safety of the study drug, including measurement of heart rate and blood pressure, physical examination, Electrocardiogram and blood/urine sample collection for laboratory tests. The study will be conducted at 3 hospitals in the UK. Bayer HealthCare AG is funding this research.
