The goal of this study is to learn if tilpisertib fosmecarbil (formerly known as GS-5290) is effective and safe in treating participants with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. The study will compare participants in different treatment groups treated with tilpisertib fosmecarbil with participants treated with placebo. The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of tilpisertib fosmecarbil, compared to placebo control, in achieving Clinical Response at Week 12.

Crohn's disease (CD) is an incurable chronic inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating moderately to severely active CD in real world. Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is a drug approved for the treatment of CD. All study participants will receive upadacitinib as prescribed by their study doctor in accordance with approved local label. Approximately 240 participants will be enrolled in Japan. Participants will receive upadacitinib as prescribed by their physician according to their routine clinical practice and local label. Participants will be followed for up to 64 weeks. There is expected to be no additional burden for participants in this trial. Study visits may be conducted on-site or virtually as per standard of care.
This study explored whether exercise video distribution using metaverse space is effective in increasing physical activity among young people, along with mental health and locomotive function. This is a randomized parallel-group study. Participants will be assigned to 3 groups: a metaverse group, a YouTube group, and a control group. The metaverse group will receive eight 10-minute exercise videos each week with approximately 4 to 8 METs (metabolic equivalents of task) in the metaverse space to encourage exercise, and the YouTube group will receive access to the same exercise videos as the metaverse group. The control group was given no specific instructions. The intervention period was 8 weeks, and physical activity and other items were measured before and after the intervention. These pre- and post-intervention measurements will be used to determine whether the delivery of exercise videos via Metaverse is effective in increasing physical activity in young adults.

This clinical trial aims to investigate whether the low treatment intensity (12 mL/kg/hr, low-dose hemodialysis/filtration) or the medium treatment intensity (25 mL/kg/hr, standard-dose hemodialysis/filtration) is more effective and safer for continuous renal replacement therapy in critically ill patients.
Alopecia areata (AA) is a disease that happens when the immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair loss. AA usually affects the head and face, but hair loss can happen on any part of the body. The purpose of this study is to assess how safe, effective, and tolerable upadacitinib is in adolescent and adult participants with severe AA. Upadacitinib is an approved drug being investigated for the treatment of AA. In Study 1 and Study 2 Period A, participants are placed in 1 of 3 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 5 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. In Study 1 and Study 2 Period B, participants originally randomized to upadacitinib dose group in Period A will continue their same treatment in Period B. Participants originally randomized to Placebo in Period A will either remain on placebo in Period B, or be randomized in 1 of 2 groups, based off of their Severity of Alopecia Tool (SALT) score. Participants who complete Study 1 or Study 2, can join Study 3 and may be re-randomized to receive 1 of 2 doses of upadacitinib for up to 108 weeks. Around 1500 participants with severe AA will be enrolled in the study at approximately 240 sites worldwide. Participants will receive oral tablets of either upadacitinib or placebo once daily for up to 160 weeks with the potential of being re-randomized into a different treatment group at Weeks 24 and 52. Participants will be followed up for up to 30 days after last study drug dose. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
This is an observational study in which only data are collected from participants receiving their usual treatment. In this study, data will be collected and studied from men with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC). Prostate cancer is a common cancer in men that starts in the prostate gland, a male reproductive gland found below the bladder. Metastatic means that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Hormone-sensitive means it can be treated with hormone-therapy such as androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). ADT lowers the level of testosterone, a male hormone, and slows down the growth of cancer cells. Men with mHSPC and who have been decided by their own doctors to be treated with darolutamide in combination with ADT and docetaxel can join this study. Darolutamide works by blocking the testosterone signals to slow the growth of the cancer cells. Docetaxel is a medicine used to treat different types of cancer. It works by stopping the growth and spread of cancer cells. Darolutamide in combination with docetaxel and ADT is an approved treatment for men with mHSPC. It was approved based on a study called ARASENS. More information is needed on how safe darolutamide is when given with ADT and docetaxel in Japanese men with mHSPC. The main purpose of this study is to collect information about the safety of this combination treatment in Japanese participants with mHSPC under real-world conditions. The main information that researchers will collect: Number and severity of heart-related medical problems participants have during the treatment Other information that researchers will collect: Number and severity of all medical problems participants have during the study Age and other information about the participants such as their illness, medical history, and other medicines taken at the same time Treatment pattern of darolutamide such as the amount of medicine given, the duration for which it is given, and any changes made to the treatment Data will be collected from August 2023 to July 2026. Researchers will observe participants from the start of darolutamide treatment until 30 days after they receive their last dose of docetaxel, which is expected to be approximately 6 months for each participant. In this study, data from regular health visits will be collected. No visits or tests are required as part of this study.
This trial conducted in Japan includes 2 different cohorts of patients: adult patients and pediatric patients with two different designs. - The cohort of adult patients has a prospective, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, controlled, and cross-over design. - The cohort of pediatric patients has a prospective, multi-center, non-randomized, open-label and single arm design. Primary objective to demonstrate the non-inferiority of gadopiclenol-enhanced MRI at 0.05 mmol/kg body weight (BW) compared to gadobutrol-enhanced MRI at 0.1 mmol/kg BW in terms of lesion visualization is applicable for adult patients referred for contrast-enhanced MRI of Central Nervous System (CNS) or Body regions.
