NCT ID: NCT03568149 Recruiting - Endometriosis Clinical Trials

Pelvic Congestion Syndrome and Endometriosis

VES
Start date: December 14, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The pelvic congestion syndrome (PCS) is a complex and multifactorial condition associated with inflammatory and hormonal etiophatogenesis similar to the endometriosis. Furthermore, both pathologies share same clinical symptoms as chronic pelvic pain and dyspareunia. Our hypothesis is that PCS prevalence is higher in patients with endometriosis than in those without clinical or ultrasound signs of endometriosis.

NCT ID: NCT03567928 Terminated - Anesthesia Clinical Trials

Laryngeal Mask in Upper Gastrointestinal Procedures

SeoMask
Start date: September 26, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Diagnostic and operative procedures of upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract are very common in all patients. Some procedures are difficult to tolerate because of long duration, prone position or significant stimulation of the upper airways. An example are endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic pancreatic ultrasound. The procedures are generally performed with deep sedation. Many pharmacologic regimens are available and described in literature. The investigator's institute adopts propofol target controlled infusion (TCI), which usually guarantees unconsciousness and unresponsiveness of patients. The main adverse event is dose-related respiratory depression. Pre-existing reasons for hypoventilation can exacerbate this event, especially in the elderly and the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease-patients. Laryngeal mask (LMA) is a useful tool to apply a pressure support ventilation. One specific type of LMA allows to separate the gastric and respiratory tract and, allows the anesthesiologist to support patient's ventilation as (and only if) necessary.

Study type: Interventional

Prospective, multicenter, phase II trial designed to evaluate whether the addition of Venetoclax after rituximab, bendamustine and cytarabine (R-BAC) to high risk patients with mantle cell lymphoma improves the results of the standard R-BAC, in terms of Progression Free Survival.

NCT ID: NCT03567564 Enrolling by invitation - Muscle Weakness Clinical Trials

Abdominal Muscle Thickness in Mechanically Ventilated Patients

Start date: April 26, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the study is to determine to what extent the abdominal muscles contribute to airway pressure, in order to investigate the correlation between muscles weakness and extubation outcome in mechanically ventilated patients. In addition the reliability of the sonographic measurements will be assessed.

NCT ID: NCT03567291 Terminated - Tourette Syndrome Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Safety and Tolerability of Long-term TEV-50717 (Deutetrabenazine) for Treatment of Tourette Syndrome in Children and Adolescents

ARTISTS
Start date: May 25, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is an otherwise open-label, single-arm study that includes a 2-week, double-blind, placebo controlled, randomized drug withdrawal period followed by a 3 week blinded maintenance or re-titration, and then a maintenance period. This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of TEV-50717 tablets in patients with tics associated with TS who have previously completed participation in any of the parent studies.

NCT ID: NCT03567161 Completed - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator to Treat Deep Infrabony Defects

CUSA
Start date: February 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary outcome of the present study will be assess the percentage of pocket closure and the secondary aim to evaluate the clinical performance in terms of clinical attachment level (CAL) gain, probing pocket depth (PPD) reduction and gingival recession (REC) after the use of cavitron ultrasonic surgical aspirator (CUSA) in deep infrabony defects. Patients who were previously treated with active periodontal therapy followed by one year of supportive periodontal therapy (at least three sessions) will be additionally treated by the aid of CUSA. Subjects will be reviewed at 7 days, 15 days, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months. These sessions will include supra-gingival professional mechanical plaque removal (PMPR) through the use of erythritol powder plus 14 μm. Clinical measurements of the defects and X-ray with bite block will be taken at baseline and 3 and 6 months.

NCT ID: NCT03567096 Completed - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

LV Only MPP With SyncAV

Start date: October 9, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the clinical benefits of left ventricle (LV) only pacing combined with automatic adjustment of AV timing (SyncAV) in patients receiving cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) after 6 months of therapy. This clinical investigation is a prospective, two-arm, randomized 1:1, multicenter feasibility study designed to evaluate the effectiveness of LV only with multipoint pacing (MPP) and SyncAV compared to bi-ventricular pacing with MPP and SyncAV. The clinical investigation will be conducted at approximately 7 centers in Europe and Canada. Approximately 120 subjects will be enrolled in the study. No site may enroll more than 33% of the total subjects. Data will be collected at enrollment, CRT implant procedure, hospital pre-discharge, one and 6 months post implant. Enrollment data collection will include demographics, cardiovascular history, medication, echocardiography measurements and quality of life questionnaire. CRT implant procedure data collection will include implanted system information and lead location. The electrical conduction recording procedure will include surface ECG and device IEGM recordings during various pacing configurations at implant or up to 45 days post implant. In patients who consent to invasive measurements (expected target of at least 80 patients), a hemodynamic recording procedure will include invasive hemodynamic measurements during various pacing configurations which may take place during device implant or up to 45 days post implant. Hospital pre-discharge data collection will take place within 3 days after the CRT implant, electrical conduction recordings visit or hemodynamic recordings visit and will include system information, surface ECG, and device IEGMs. In a subset of patients from selected centers that have access to this technology (expected 20 patients), non-invasive electrical activation data will be collected with body surface mapping within 45 days of the implant procedure. Patients will be randomized 1:1 to receive either biventricular pacing with multipoint pacing (MPP) or LV-only pacing with MPP at the one-month (± 15 days) visit. The 6-month (± 15 days) post randomization follow up visit will include surface ECG, IEGMs, echocardiographic parameters and quality of life questionnaire. Subjects participating in this clinical investigation will follow the hospital center standard of care from implant to 6 month follow up. The expected duration of enrollment is 1.5 year. The total duration of the clinical investigation is expected to be 2 years.
