Send-In Sample Collection to Achieve Genetic and Immunologic Characterization of Primary Immunodeficiencies

Background: The immune system helps the body fight infections. Primary immunodeficiency disorders (PIDs) are diseases that make it easier for people to get sick. Many PIDs are inherited. This means parents can pass them on to their children. Knowing what causes a person s PID is important to decide what treatment to give them. Objective: To test samples from people with a PID or people related to someone with a PID to find out what causes PIDs. Eligibility: People ages 99 or younger who have a PID or have a relative with a PID Design: Participants will be screened with a medical history over the phone. They may need to give permission for researchers talk to their doctors about their health. Their relatives may be contacted to see if they want to join the study. Participants will give samples. These could be: Blood: Participants blood will be taken from a vein in an arm, or with a prick on the finger or heel for children. Saliva, urine, or stool: Participants will provide each sample in a special cup. Nose or cheek swab: Participants will rub the skin inside their nose or cheek using a cotton swab. Cord blood: If participants have a baby during the study, blood will be collected from the baby s umbilical cord after it is born. Samples from medical procedures: If, during the study, the participants have a medical procedure that collects samples, the samples may be used for the study.

The purpose of the study was to assess the efficacy and safety of tisagenlecleucel in pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients with relapsed/refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (r/r B-NHL) including Burkitt Lymphoma and Burkitt Leukemia. For pediatric patients who have r/r B-NHL including Burkitt Lymphoma and Burkitt Leukemia, survival rates are dismal, only ~20-50% subjects are alive at 2 years with overall response rate (ORR) of 20-30% after conventional salvage chemotherapy.

This is a multi-center, phase 2A exploratory study of feasibility and effectiveness of Inotuzumab Ozagomicin in adult patients with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia (ALL) with positive minimal residual disease before any hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The study is divided in two cohorts; cohort 1 will enroll 38 Ph+ patients, cohort 2 will enroll 38 Ph- patients, as defined with statistical analysis. The two cohorts will have the same treatment, with the exception of short term and long term maintenance.

Promoting Weight Loss and Stress Reduction in Overweight and Obese Patients With Type 2 Diabetes

This is a feasibility and acceptability study of a 16-month single-blind randomized controlled trial (RCT) designed to test the initial effectiveness of a well-being and small lifestyle changes intervention aimed at promoting weight loss and stress reduction in overweight and obese patients with type 2 diabetes. Primary goals of this study are to 1) evaluate study feasibility and patient acceptability, 2) develop a tailored protocol of a behavioral intervention for overweight or obese patients with type 2 diabetes that takes stress and well-being into consideration, 3) evaluate appropriateness of research procedures and measures, 4) examine effect size estimates of key outcomes to provide essential data to inform a larger efficacy trial, 5) determine whether clinically significant improvements occurred in any key outcomes.

The purpose of the study analyzes whether the addition of CBS to hypotonic therapy is able to slow down the progression of anatomical and functional damage induced by glaucoma. The study evaluates the differences after two months of treatment as compared to baseline and after two-month from the end of the treatment.

Evaluation of the Treatment of Abdominal Aortic Pathology With Hostile Necks, Para-/Juxra-renal and Sovrarenal Pathology at Short, Mid and Long Term

Although open repair (OR) is currently reported as the gold standard of treatment, fenestrated endovascular repair (FEVAR) is being increasingly applied for the treatment of proximal abdominal aortic aneurysms (p-AAA) such as hostile-necked, juxta-, para- and supra-renal aortic aneurysms.1 Nevertheless, advantages of FEVAR in terms of lowering postoperative complications, should be balanced with the need of both complex device configurations and operators with large endovascular expertise. The aim of this study is to report the experience of Data from patients treated will be prospectively collected. All post-operative results will be recorded. Major adverse event (MAE) are defined as the presence of one of the following: all-cause mortality, bowel ischemia, myocardial infarction, paraplegia, respiratory failure, stroke and renal insufficiency. Furthermore, the pre-operative contrast-enhanced computed tomography scans (CTA) of all patients, stored in the hospital PACS, will be analyzed on the dedicated workstation with OsiriX software (Pixmeo sarl, Bernex, Switzerland) currently employed in our Unit for imaging assessment. Patients will undergo standard control with the execution of a Doppler ultrasound and creatinine serum levels at 1, 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months. A CTA will also be performed at 12 months as per standard clinical practice. of p-AAA treatment.
