There are about 21062 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Italy. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of the study is to evalute the efficacy, safety and tolerability of rozanolixizumab for treatment of adult participants with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease (MOG-AD).
The aims of this study are to evaluate if an intensified adjuvant treatment with FOLFOXIRI could increase the rate of cases with undetectable ct-DNA after chemotherapy and to evaluate if a further adjuvant treatment with Trifluridine/Tipiracil could increase the rate of cases with undetectable ct-DNA and therefore improve DFS in a population at high-risk of relapse. An additional target-driven cohort of HER2+ RAS wild-type colon cancer patients will be assessed for ct-DNA clearance after a tailored treatment with Trastuzumab and Tucatinib plus FOLFOX
Predicting the survival of patients diagnosed with glioblastoma (GBM) is essential to guide surgical strategy and subsequent adjuvant therapies. Intraoperative ultrasound (ioUS) is a low-cost, versatile technique available in most neurosurgical departments. The images from ioUS contain biological information possibly correlated to the tumor's behavior, aggressiveness, and oncological outcomes. Today's advanced image processing techniques require a large amount of data. Therefore, the investigators propose creating an international database aimed to share intraoperative ultrasound images of brain tumors. The acquired data must be processed to extract radiomic or texture characteristics from ioUS images. The rationale is that ultrasound images contain much more information than the human eye can process. Our main objective is to find a relationship between these imaging characteristics and overall survival (OS) in GBM. The predictive models elaborated from this imaging technique will complement those already based on other sources such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), genetic and molecular analysis, etc. Predicting survival using an intraoperative imaging technique affordable for most hospitals would greatly benefit the patients' management.
The study is intended to assess the safety and efficacy of perioperative treatment with Durvalumab in combination with Oleclumab, Monalizumab or AZD0171 and platinum doublet chemotherapy (CTX); or Volrustomig in combination with platinum doublet chemotherapy or datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato-DXd) in combination with durvalumab and single agent platinum chemotherapy in participants with resectable, early-stage non-small cell lung cancer.
This is a laboratory-based study and it aims to evaluate the expression of inflammasomes in healthy gingiva and in the presence of peri-implantitis and periodontitis
The study intends to show that basimglurant provides effective seizure control in children, adolescents and young adults with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC).
FIL_FOLL19 is an open-label, multicenter, randomized phase III trial. The sponsor of this clinical trial is Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (FIL). The Primary Objective of the study is to demonstrate that, in patients with newly diagnosed, advanced stage Follicular Lymphoma (FL) with high tumor burden according to the Groupe d'Etude des Lymphomes Folliculaires (GELF) criteria, a treatment strategy that reduces the number of chemotherapy cycles in case of early response to immunochemotherapy is not inferior compared to standard therapy at full dose in terms of Progression-Free Survival (PFS).
DianaWeb is a community-based participatory research (CBPR) offered to Italian breast cancer patients. The aim of the study is the evaluation of effectiveness of a lifestyle and nutrition intervention to improve the prognosis. DianaWeb study utilizes an interactive website - http://www.dianaweb.org/ - to monitor patient life-style, and to obtain clinical, pathological and anthropometric data (height, body weight, waist circumference and blood pressure). Detailed instructions were provided for measuring at home. The website contains theoretical and practical advice to encourage women to follow healthy lifestyles and nutrition, and the indications emerging from research for women diagnosed with breast cancer. DianaWeb study intends to recruit 50.000 women with breast cancer diagnosis.
PROPHET-FFR is a single center ambispective registry aiming to explore the impact of post-revascularization functional assessment on later outcomes.
The PROTECT trial will test the hypothesis that proton (PT) -enabled radiation dose reductions to sensitive, normal tissues will result in lower rates of treatment-related pulmonary complications in esophageal cancer compared to standard photon therapy (XT).
