ELEMENT-MDS
Start date: October 24, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to compare the efficacy and safety of Luspatercept vs epoetin alfa in the treatment of anemia in adults due to IPSS-R very low, low, intermediate-risk MDS in ESA-naïve participants who are non-transfusion dependent (NTD).

NCT ID: NCT05949476 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Extraction of the Lower Third Molars

Influence of Ozone Therapy on Postoperative Pain Relief in the Surgical Treatment of Lower Third Molars: Randomized Controlled Trial

Start date: July 19, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Patients will undergo a split-mouth protocol which includes: a control group: in which the extraction of the lower third molar will be performed according to the standard protocols of the structure. A study group: in which ozone will be used in addition, in two formulations: gaseous, injected into the site of the pre- and post-surgery operation, and topical, in the form of a gel, applied at the end of the operation and for home use according to therapeutic scheme prescribed at the time of discharge. Primary objective: To evaluate whether the use of ozone in patients undergoing extraction of impacted third molars reduces post-operative pain 7 days after surgery. Secondary objectives: - Evaluate the functional limitation in opening the mouth (trismus) 7 days after surgery. - Evaluate if there is a reduced intake of analgesic drugs in the 7 days following the operation. - Evaluate the perceived quality of life in the 7 days following the intervention.

NCT ID: NCT05949398 Recruiting - HPV Infection Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Prevalence of Oral HPV Infection in Patients Who Are Positive to the PAP-test

Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The present cross-sectional study aims to assess the prevalence and type distribution of oral HPV infection in PAP-test-positive women aged ≥18 years. The means used in the present study will be the use of anamnestic questionnaires and exfoliative cytology tests at predetermined oral mucosal sites (lingual belly and dorsum, palate, and buccal mucosa).

NCT ID: NCT05948475 Recruiting - Cholangiocarcinoma Clinical Trials

Study of Tinengotinib VS. Physician's Choice a Treatment of Subjects With FGFR-altered in Cholangiocarcinoma

FIRST-308
Start date: December 20, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is a Phase III, Randomized, Controlled, Global Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Oral Tinengotinib versus Physician's Choice in Subjects with Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor (FGFR)-altered, Chemotherapy- and FGFR Inhibitor-Refractory/Relapsed Cholangiocarcinoma

NCT ID: NCT05947851 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Leukemia, Lymphocytic, Chronic, B-Cell

A Study of Nemtabrutinib Plus Venetoclax vs Venetoclax + Rituximab (VR) in Second-line (2L) + Relapsed/Refractory (R/R) Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL/SLL) (MK-1026-010/BELLWAVE-010)

Start date: August 8, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability and to confirm the dose of nemtabrutinib in combination with venetoclax in participants with R/R CLL/SLL. The primary study hypotheses are that the combination of nemtabrutinib plus venetoclax is superior to VR with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) per 2018 International Workshop on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (iwCLL) criteria as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR).

NCT ID: NCT05947175 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Degenerative Spine Diseases

Vertebral Bone Marrow Clot for Spinal Surgery

Start date: May 19, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Spinal fusion (SF) is a common orthopedic procedure to treat spinal diseases. Apart from fixation systems, the procedure requires bone grafting to further improve SF. Cell-based therapies as vertebral bone marrow aspirate (vBMA) with bone allograft were developed as alternative to bone autograft in SF. However, vBMA use is limited by the lack of a standardized procedure, of a structural texture and by the possibility of diffusion away from the implant site. Recently, the potential use of a new formulation of vBMA, named vBMA clot, has been described. The project aims at evaluating the clinical evidence and the biological features of vBMA clot associated to bone allograft for SF surgery, considering age and gender related differences. A randomized controlled trial will prove the efficacy of the treatment and advanced preclinical studies will improve the knowledge on vBMA clot regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties, exploring for the first time its antibacterial characteristics.

NCT ID: NCT05947149 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

HRQoL in Patients With Solid Tumors Treated With Hadrontherapy

HadroQoL
Start date: March 27, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational
