Melatonin Degradation Rate in Human Milk

Our long term hypothesis is that giving premature infants breast milk that was pumped during the night and has high concentration of melatonin will improve outcome of several clinical conditions related to premature infants. Prior to testing this, we need to learn the pharmacokinetics of melatonin in vitro. In this preliminary research we would like to check the levels of melatonin in breast milk pumped during the night, and evaluate the rate of degradation of the melatonin to determine the half life of melatonin in pumped breast milk (in vitro).

Neural Indications of Stress-Induced Mental Overload

The aim of the current research is to characterize the complex interaction between stress and cognitive workload. Furthermore, the investigators aim to create a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) inspired Electroencephalogram (EEG) brain-based bio-marker for cognitive load under stress. Secondary project 1 aim: The aim of this study is to characterize the link between sensorimotor network (SMN) within and between functional connectivity following the stress response and its association with physiological indices and self-report measures. Secondary project 2 aim: To elucidate temporal alterations of topological patterns (i.e., integration and segregation), the investigators seek to examine resting state fMRI data before and after a cognitive load task and an acute stress induction.

The purpose of this survey is to collect the data on perceptions, behaviours and awareness related to obesity and obesity management for People with Obesity (PwO) and Health Care Professionals (HCP) treating obesity. Data will be collected via online surveys among each of the respondent groups. The surveys are expected to take approximately 25 minutes to complete and will be unique for PwO and HCP. As a cross-sectional study, there will be no treatment of patients.

The purpose of this study was to establish efficacy and safety of ligelizumab in adolescent and adult subjects with CSU who remained symptomatic despite standard of care treatment by demonstrating better efficacy over omalizumab and over placebo. The study population consisted of 1,079 male and female subjects aged ≥ 12 years who were diagnosed with CSU and who remained symptomatic despite the use of H1-antihistamines. This was a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, active- and placebo-controlled, parallel-group study. There was a screening period of up to 28 days, a 52 week double-blind treatment period, and a 12 week post-treatment follow-up period.

This is a Phase 2b randomized, blinded, placebo controlled study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, PK/pharmacodynamic, and immunogenicity of repeat doses of MEDI6012 in adult participants presenting with acute STEMI (ST segment elevation myocardial infarction). The study will enrol participants presenting with acute STEMI who are planned for primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI). For all participants, an end of study CMR will be performed at 10-12 weeks (70-84 days following Dose 1). A subset of participants will also undergo an index and an end of study CTA.
