Evaluation of Safety and Efficacy of AVE5530 as add-on to Ongoing Statins in Patients With Primary Hypercholesterolemia

The present study is assessing the efficacy and safety of AVE5530 (25 mg and 50 mg) in add-on to ongoing statin treatment in a double-blind manner in comparison with placebo, in the management of patients with primary hypercholesterolemia considered as inadequately controlled despite their ongoing statin treatment. The main objective is to evaluate the effects of the association AVE5530+statin on LDL-C level reduction after 12 weeks of treatment. The effects of AVE5530 on other lipid parameters will be assessed as secondary objectives.

Immune Tolerance Induction Study

An exploratory, open-labeled study of participants with Pompe disease, who had previously received Myozyme® (alglucosidase alfa) treatment, to evaluate the efficacy, safety and clinical benefit of 2 Immune Tolerance Induction (ITI) regimens in combination with Myozyme®. Eligible participants who were then receiving Myozyme® therapy were enrolled into the study, and were followed for a minimum of 18 months on-study (a 6-month ITI treatment module and a 12-month follow-up module on Myozyme® alone). Eligible participants were followed for a minimum of 18 months on treatment or, if a participant was <6 months of age at the time of enrollment, until the participant was 2 years of age. Both cross-reacting immunologic material (CRIM)-negative and CRIM-positive participants were eligible for Regimen A depending if they met the required criteria. Regimen B, however, was limited to CRIM-negative participants.

The Effect of Botox Injection on Postural Stability of Cerebral Palsy (CP) Children

Children suffer from Cerebral Palsy that willing to participate in the study will be tested with well-established measuring techniques of Balance control using force plate before 2 month after BOTOX injection in the movement and Rehabilitation Laboratory at BGU. An automated algorithm will be used to extract standardized stabilogram-diffusion parameters from each of the COP data sets collected during quiet standing. These parameters include diffusion coefficients, critical displacement, critical time and scaling exponents for both lateral and anterior-posterior sway directions (Collins & De Luca, 1993). Each of the Times (before 3 month and 6 month after the THA) in two task conditions (eyes closed and eyes close conditions). Participants will be required to stand on the platform 5 times for 30 s For each trial, they will be instructed to sway as little as possible. In addition Gait analysis will be also examined.
