There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This project is intended to evaluate self-emulsifying drug delivery system termed Piperine-Pro-Nano-Lipospheres (P-PNL) for enhancing the oral bioavailability of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).The oral bioavailability of these cannabinoids is hampered by extensive first pass metabolism, resulting in relative bioavailability of 6%. The main goal of this study is to evaluate the bioequivalence of THC-CBD P-PNL product for oral administration to Sativex® buccal spray, as measured by AUC 0-24h, Tmax and Cmax.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether injections of Botulinum toxin type A into muscles of the leg(s) are effective in treating children/adolescents (age 2-17 years) with increased muscle tension/uncontrollable muscle stiffness (spasticity) due to cerebral palsy.
Categorization of glucose levels into 'healthy', 'pre-diabetic' or 'diabetic' is increasingly seen as artificial. Furthermore, most micro and macrovascular complications may be present already at the pre-diabetic stage. Hyperglycemia, pre-diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) are fully reversible, thus, maintaining normal blood sugar levels is crucial for the prevention and control of diabetes and the various other consequences of the metabolic syndrome. Only interventions that are individually tailored can achieve proper glycemic control, and the glycemic index (GI), which quantifies the glycemic response to particular foods, was developed for this purpose. In this study the investigators will characterize the blood glucose responses and microbiota of healthy individuals, aiming to assess the influence of food intake on gut microbiota and the influence of gut microbiota on glycemic responses.
This study was designed as a 3-year extension to the phase III core study CAIN457F2306. It aimed to provide continuous treatment with secukinumab in pre-filled syringes (PFS) for subjects who completed the core study CAIN457F2306, to obtain further long term efficacy, safety and tolerability information in subjects with active psoriatic arthritis receiving secukinumab every 4 weeks. At Week 104 of the study CAIN457F2306, eligible subjects completed the assessments associated with the core study visit and subsequently continued in this extension study on the same dose that they were receiving during the core study. The regular assessments of disease activity ensure that subjects who are experienced worsening of disease in any of the treatment groups could exit the study upon their own wish or based on the advice of the investigator at any time.
This study is conducted in Europe and Asia. The purpose of the study (Diabetes Pregnancy Registry) is to evaluate the safety of treatment with insulin detemir in pregnant women with diabetes mellitus.
The purpose of this randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled study was to provide clinical safety and exploratory efficacy data on the use of Eltrombopag in adult subjects with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) receiving standard induction chemotherapy with daunorubicin plus cytarabine. A minimum of 120 evaluable subjects newly diagnosed with AML was stratified by antecedent malignant hematologic disorder and age.
The Hyper-CL™ lenses are indicated for therapeutic use as a bandage to protect the corneal surface and to relieve corneal pain in the treatment of acute or chronic ocular pathologies, such as bullous keratopathy, corneal erosions, entropion, corneal edema, and corneal dystrophies as well as post-surgical conditions resulting from cataract extraction and corneal surgery. The lenses may be prescribed for daily wear with removal for cleaning and disinfection (chemical, not heat) prior to reinsertion, as recommended by the eye care professional. In addition Hyper-CL™ contact lenses can also provide optical correction during healing if required. Prospective open-label, randomized, crossover clinical study To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Hyper-CL™ lens in subjects suffering from corneal edema. This study is designed to evaluate the efficacy of the Hyper-CL™ lens contact lens on corneal edema thickness as compared with salt solution treatment only in subjects suffering from corneal edema. Treatment with the Hyper-CL™ lens may result with greater reduction in edema thickness as compared with treatment with salt solution only in subjects suffering from corneal edema. Men and women suffering from a decrease in vision due to corneal edema that meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria and provide written Informed Consent will be enrolled in the study. A total of 25 subjects will be enrolled. Each subject will be treated with: - Treatment A: Hyper-CL™ lens only (7 days) - Treatment B: Hyper-CL™ lens + salt solution (7 days) - Treatment C: salt solution only (7 days) One week (7 days) of washout without any treatment will be between treatments. Subject will be equally allocated (with a 1:1:1:1:1:1 ratio) to one of the following 6 crossover regimen based on a randomization scheme with blocks stratified by center: C-A-B; B-C-A; A-B-C; C-B-A; B-A-C; A-C-B. Up to 2 centers will participate in this study. Each subject will be followed from baseline to 42 days. All Subjects will come for a clinic visit at 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 days post first treatment. Completion of active enrolment is anticipated to last approximately 6 months. The primary end point will be achieved when the final study subject has completed 42 day follow-up.
Participants suffering from active rheumatoid arthritis despite continued treatment with methotrexate were evaluated for improvement of disease activity (efficacy) when taking GLPG0634 (3 different doses - 50 milligram [mg], 100 mg and 200 mg daily -, each evaluated as once daily [QD] and twice daily [BID] regimen) or matching placebo for 24 weeks. •During the course of the study, patients were also examined for any side effects that could occur (safety and tolerability), and the amount of GLPG0634 present in the blood (Pharmacokinetics) as well as the effects of GLPG0634 on disease- and mechanism of action-related parameters in the blood (Pharmacodynamics) were determined. Also, the effects of different doses and dose regiments of GLPG0634 administration on participants' disability, fatigue, and quality of life were evaluated.
Telerehabilitation refers to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to provide rehabilitation services to people remotely in their homes or other environments. By using ICT, patient access to care can be improved and the reach of clinicians can extend beyond the physical walls of a traditional healthcare facility, thus expanding continuity of care to persons with disabling conditions. The concept of telecare, when telerehabilitation is used to deliver services to patients in their homes or other living environments, empowers and enables individuals to take control of the management of their medical needs and interventions by enabling personalized care, choice and personal control Research Goal and Objectives 1. To investigate the clinical feasibility and usability of the Gertner Tele-Motion-Rehab system in post-stroke patients, in their homes. 2. To evaluate Gertner Tele-Motion-Rehab system clinical improvement within the patient's home in terms of: 1. function of the weak upper extremity 2. performance of ADL
The purpose of this study is to determine whether Telecare can be used for efficient management of adults with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus using insulin pump, in lieu of frequent clinic visits.
