NCT ID: NCT02313909 Terminated - Stroke Clinical Trials

Rivaroxaban Versus Aspirin in Secondary Prevention of Stroke and Prevention of Systemic Embolism in Patients With Recent Embolic Stroke of Undetermined Source (ESUS)

NAVIGATE ESUS
Start date: December 23, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a study in patients who recently had a brain attack (stroke) and in whom no clear cause of the stroke could be identified. These strokes are likely due to a blood clot and therefore, can be called embolic stroke of undetermined source. The abbreviation is ESUS. The study will compare 2 blood thinners. Patients will be randomly assigned to either Rivaroxaban 15 mg or Aspirin 100 mg and the study is intended to show, if patients given rivaroxaban have fewer blood clots in the brain (stroke) or in other blood vessels.

NCT ID: NCT02313727 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Combined Treatment With TNF Inhibitor and Pamidronate in AS Patients: Effect on the Radiographic Progression

Start date: December 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

It will be a pilot, 2 year, prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled (for pamidronate) study. All patients with AS will receive treatment with TNF inhibitor, while randomization will be performed for pamidronate versus placebo group. Primary outcome will be the rate of radiographic progression of AS, calculated after 24 months of combined treatment.

NCT ID: NCT02313545 Completed - Atrophic Vaginitis Clinical Trials

Phase I-B Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability and Efficacy of IZN-6NVS for the Treatment of AV and DIV

Start date: December 2014
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In this open label study, 50 eligible women will be assigned to receive the investigational product (IZN-6NVS) - 2.5 g of cream/day for 14 days, followed by 3 applications per week for the next 4 weeks. Clinical assessment of the severity of vaginitis will be performed at baseline and after 2 and 6 weeks of treatment. The study will evaluate safety, tolerability and efficacy of IZN-6NVS vaginal cream, in the treatment of atrophic vaginitis (AV) and desquamative inflammatory vaginitis (DIV).

NCT ID: NCT02313532 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Febrile Illness Acute

Treatment of Febrile Infectious Disease Among Children in Hadera District Given the Final Diagnosis. Descriptive Study

Start date: January 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Study goal - to describe pediatric patients with febrile disease that administered to the emergency department (ED) of hillel-yaffe hospital, according to arrival diagnosis, ED diagnosis, given therapy, and therapy concordance with the guidelines and final diagnosis. This research will describe cases that arrived to the hospital with acute febrile disease (up to seven days of fever), the antibiotic treatment given in the community according to the anamnesis and the community physician letter, therapy concordance with the guidelines, the ED diagnosis and changes in therapy, and final diagnosis according to extended microbiological examinations and panel of infectious disease specialists.

Start date: December 18, 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Patients will be followed up in this study after prior treatment with BAY88-8223 / Radium-223 dichloride / Xofigo .

NCT ID: NCT02312414 Recruiting - Anemia Clinical Trials

Effects of Carnitine on Oxidative Stress to IVIR Administration to CKD Patients:Impact of Haptoglobin Genotype

Start date: October 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Anemia is a common disorder in CKD patients. It is largely attributed to decreased erythropoietin (EPO) production and iron deficiency. Therefore, besides EPO, therapy includes iron replenishment. However, the latter induces oxidative stress. Haptoglobin (Hp) protein is the main line of defense against the oxidative effects of Hemoglobin/Iron. There are 3 genotypes: 1-1, 2-1 and 2-2. Hp 2-2 protein is inferior to Hp 1-1 as antioxidant. So far, there is no evidence whether haptoglobin genotype affects iron-induced oxidative stress in CKD patients. In this proposed study we wished to examine whether Hp genotype influences intravenous iron administration (IVIR)-induced oxidative stress in CKD patients, and its impact on the response of these patients to L-Carnitine therapy.

NCT ID: NCT02312258 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

A Study of Oral Ixazomib Maintenance Therapy in Participants With Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma (NDMM) Not Treated With Stem Cell Transplantation (SCT)

Start date: April 9, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of ixazomib maintenance therapy on progression free survival (PFS) compared with placebo, in participants with NDMM who have had a major response (complete response [CR], very good partial response [VGPR], or partial response [PR]) to initial therapy and who have not undergone SCT.

NCT ID: NCT02312206 Terminated - Clinical trials for Primary Systemic (AL) Amyloidosis

The VITAL Amyloidosis Study, a Global Phase 3, Efficacy and Safety Study of NEOD001 in Patients With AL Amyloidosis

VITAL
Start date: February 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, international, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-arm efficacy and safety study in subjects newly diagnosed with AL amyloidosis. Subjects will remain on-study until study completion, which will occur when all primary endpoint events (all-cause mortality or cardiac hospitalizations) have been reached.

NCT ID: NCT02311647 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Endometrial Receptivity Post Tamoxifen Exposure

Uterine Cavity Assessment and Endometrial Gene Expression in Tamoxifen Treated Breast Cancer Patients

Start date: January 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The aim of this multi-center study is to assess the effects of Tamoxifen on the uterine cavity and endometrial abnormalities in young premenopausal women diagnosed with breast cancer. The research contains two parts: a clinical study and a laboratory study. - Clinical part: to evaluate the association between tamoxifen treatment and uterine abnormalities. - Laboratory part: to investigate the effect of Tamoxifen treatment on endometrial tissue, by exploring the molecular aspect of endometrial receptivity.
