There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To determine if different serum Progesterone levels on FET day are associated with different clinical pregnancy rates (CPR), and if increasing dosage of vaginal Progesterone in cases of lower serum Progesterone level on FET day can be either beneficial or detrimental regarding the CPR.
The DreaMed Advisor Pro, is a software which automatically analyses treatment information, learns patient's needs and accordingly suggests adjustments in insulin dosing (FDA approved decision support system). The Advisor Pro uses information gathered from glucose monitoring (sensor readings or capillary blood glucose measurements), insulin dosing and meal data during daily routine home care. Following a 5 minute data collection and analysis, the algorithm learns and suggests pump-setting changes for optimization of glucose control. The algorithm is designed as an advisory tool for health care professionals and has three main components: First, data analysis report - a statistical analysis of the insulin pump and sensor data: insulin delivery, bolus-calculator rate of use, sensor glucose variables, hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic patterns. Second, recommendations, alert messages based on aforementioned data for example "pay attention- you skipped boluses", basal/bolus ratio is too high, bolus delivery compliance, glucose target recommendations and more. Third, a recommendation for new insulin pump settings: including basal intervals and rate, different carbohydrate ratio according to time of day, correction factor and insulin sensitivity time. The Advisor Pro can be used to optimize insulin pump setting during clinical visits, in-between visits or as part of virtual (telemedicine) visit. The objective of the proposed study is to evaluate the use of Advisor Pro by Health Care Providers for regular clinical visits and in between visits titration for adjustment of insulin pump settings. The study design is an open label, prospective, observational study that will include up to 100 participants with Type 1 Diabetes using insulin pumps and monitoring glucose levels by continuous glucose monitoring including flash glucose monitoring.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of ABP 938 versus Aflibercept (Eylea®) in the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration. Subjects will be randomized in a masked 1:1 ratio to receive 2 mg (0.05 mL) of either ABP 938 (Treatment Group A) or aflibercept (Treatment Group B) administered by intravitreal (IVT) injection.
Closed-loop systems are becoming an integral part of diabetes management. These systems were uniformly proven to improve glycemic control, reduce hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia while modestly reducing HbA1c levels and improving quality of life. While overnight control is close to optimal under closed loop control, postprandial hyperglycemia during daytime remains a challenge. The advanced hybrid closed loop system was designed with an improved auto-basal control and additional auto-bolus module that delivers correction boluses automatically. In addition, this system was developed to improve user experience by significantly reducing the amount of alarms and exits from Auto Mode. Therefore, this system might have an advance in treating hyperglycemia over the hybrid closed loop that controls glucose levels by modulation of insulin basal rate only. Therefore, we propose the current study that will compare 6 weeks glycemic control using hybrid closed loop versus advanced hybrid closed loop that add correction boluses among young children and adolescents. The objective of this study is to evaluate and compare the safety and efficacy of 6 weeks glucose control using Hybrid Closed Loop (HCL-670G) compared to Advanced Hybrid Closed Loop System (AHCL- 670G) in young subjects with sub-optimally controlled type 1 diabetes. A total of 28 subjects (age 7-14 years) will be enrolled at two investigational centers. At the end of the cross-over study participants will be offered with an extension period, during which they will be offered to use their preferred closed-loop system for another 3 months
Very little has been published about the optimal post operative dressing protocol, and no practical conclusion has emerged from a meta-analysis published in 2013. Even fewer studies focused on that topic specifically in hand surgery. Nevertheless, the functional impairment due to a dressing in the hand is much greater than anywhere else, due to the constant use of hands in daily life activities. Yet, habits differs widely following surgeon's preference, from daily change with application of an antimicrobial unguent, to unchanged dressing until the first follow up consultation after 2 weeks, to complete removal of the dressing and basic soap and water cleaning at postoperative day (POD) 1. Those varying recommendations have functional and logistical implication for the patients, especially the elderlies, for whom autonomy is a fragile status that can be dramatically impaired by such protocols. The goal of this study is to define which post operative dressing protocol is optimal in terms of wound complications (disunion, infection)
Cardiac echogenic foci are common finding on prenatal follow-up. At hillel Yaffe medical center a post natal echography is performed to all newborns with prenatal cardiac echogenic foci. Reviewing the data collected until now may reduce the need for poist natal echography.
This study was conducted as part of a collaboration between the Maccabi Health Fund and Bar Ilan University. Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder, highly co-morbid with depression, stress, and anxiety. the investigators aim to examine the effect of group cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based intervention (MBI) among fibromyalgia patients. the investigators will also examine which intervention fits which patient, according to one's individual characteristics, in hope that this would enable Maccabi to offer personalized treatment. Furthermore, the investigators wish to identify the underlying cognitive and psychopathological mechanisms (measured during treatment) by which each intervention works.
Nucleix EpiCheck® tests analyzes the methylation pattern in a panel of DNA methylation biomarkers and determines whether this pattern is consistent with cancer under test or with non-cancer tissue. This study is being performed as part of the development process of the Pan Cancer EpiCheck test which includes the identification of different methylation profiles in various cancer types and healthy controls.
This study is an open-label, single-dose, healthy volunteer phase 1 study after overnight fasting designed to study the safety and PK of medicated drops and tablet formulation for sublingual administration.
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a type of inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation and bleeding from the lining of the rectum and colon (large intestine).Crohn's disease (CD) is a long-lasting condition causing inflammation that can affect any part of the gut. CD may cause tiredness, loose stools with or without bleeding, abdominal pain, weight loss, and fever. This study will evaluate the effect of repeated infusions of risankizumab on the pharmacokinetics of sensitive probe substrates of Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes in participants with moderately to severely active UC or CD. Risankizumab is an investigational drug being developed to treat trial participants with inflammatory diseases such as UC and CD. The study is split into two periods. In Period 1, participants will receive single oral doses of CYP sensitive probes and in Period 2, participants will receive risankizumab followed by single oral doses of CYP sensitive probes. Around 20 adult participants with moderately to severely active CD or UC will be enrolled in the study across multiple sites worldwide. In Period 1, participants will receive oral doses of CYP sensitive probes on Day 1. In Period 2, participants will receive risankizumab by intravenous (IV) infusion on Days 1, 29 and 57 followed by oral CYP sensitive probes on Day 64. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests and checking for side effects.
