There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The incidence of perioperative stroke in the non-cardiac, non-vascular, non-neurological high risk surgical population is 2%. It is higher (~5%) for cardiac surgery and carotid endarterectomy patients, with a stroke associated mortality of up to 60%. These patients could be immediately treated if their condition was detected on time. Currently, there is no standard brain monitoring procedure for anaesthetised patients. The purpose of the proposed study is to optimize and validate an online monitor for neurological deterioration under anaesthesia based on an easily operatable EEG system comprised of 4 electrodes, a reference electrode and a newely developed algorithm for analyzing the EEG signal. The monitor aims at generating an immediate warning at the onset of neurological deterioration. For the purpose of technology development with a minimal sample size, it is necessary to select a patient population that demonstrates significant neurological dynamics under anaesthesia. We will therefore focus on anesthesized patients undergoing neurovascular thrombectomy after CVA.
It was found that an important part of the factors impeding adherence to medication and a healthy lifestyle among the chronically ill diabetic patients lies in proper management of the disease. Since it is a chronic progressive disease the caregiver is the patient himself.Studies have shown that software system, sending text messages / messages / reminders daily and answering questionnaires can improve adherence to a change in lifestyle. This study is an initial pilot study , which examines Feasibility ( Applicability ) of using a smart application that promotes a healthy lifestyle perseverance parallel use relaxation techniques .
The ReDy™ System (Renal Dynamics) is a renal denervation device incorporating a variety of ablation features and technical improvements over previously designed systems into a single product. It is intended to treat uncontrolled (drug-resistant) hypertension by RF ablation of the sympathetic nerve network surrounding the renal arteries. This study will be carried out to validate the safety and the efficacy of the ReDy™ Renal Denervation device and to demonstrate that it performs according to its intended use, i.e. the treatment of patients with uncontrolled hypertension.
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Zimura intravitreal (IVT) administration when administered in participants with geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Many toddlers and children are released home with relatively low hemoglobin levels following cardiac surgery, and with no careful follow up, at an age at which anemia is common. At this age, breast milk and its substitute do not provide enough iron, and parents are not adherent enough to iron supplements. Due to these facts, there is high importance, especially in children suffering from heart defects, for close follow up on their hemoglobin levels. Studies following hemoglobin trend post cardiac surgery were never done with children.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea may cause dizziness or vertigo through hypoxia of the vestibular nuclei in the brain. Treating sleep apnea may improve dizziness or vertigo.
As combat women soldiers are required to more intensive daily activity the investigators believe that the impact of menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea and its clinical consequence (as characterized by, anemia iron deficiency and reduced quality of life)) on personal performance will be more significant in combat women soldiers compared to non-combat women soldiers. Using cohorts from the same environment will enable the investigators to better study the effect of menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea eliminating other uncontrolled factors, such as nutrition. The study does not include any intervention.
The aim of this non-interventional study is to describe patient's perception of anticoagulant treatment when using Pradaxa to prevent stroke and systemic embolism while suffering from atrial fibrillation (according to its approved indication in the approved dosages of 110 milligrams or 150 milligrams twice daily) in comparison to standard care using Vitamin K Antagonist (VKA).
Tinnitus may affect the ability of patients to detect emotions in spoken language. This study will compare this ability between tinnitus patients and non-tinnitus patients.
