There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Long follow up on patients with obstructive sleep apnea that undergo diagnosis and surgical treatment
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may promote the endometrial growth and improve pregnancy outcome of patients with thin endometrium undergoing ART treatments.
Women in their 3rd trimester, represent a unique segment of the tokophobic population. In these cases help is needed within a very short and limited period of time. To date, no specific treatment targets this population in order to ameliorate the anxiety and to provide these women and their newborns with better obstetric and psychiatric outcomes. The present study investigates an accessible individual two session intervention conducted by midwives skilled in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) . This intervention is designed to enable stronger emotional regulation and increase of their capacity to accept unexpected changes during labor and feelings of control. The investigators expect this psychological adjustment to lead to a better course of delivery, less interventions including caesarian sections, and subjective birth experience.
The study will evaluate the efficacy of IV Dexamethasone in treatment low back pain as an adjunct to analgesics.
Attentional symptoms characterize both ADHD and other mental conditions in children. The diagnosis is based on clinical psychiatric evaluation. With the expanding knowledge regarding the neurobiological basis in ADHD the investigators have learned that attention is not a general property of the whole brain, but involves several coordinated networks. This knowledge promoted the scientific community to the stage in which scientists can recognize different types of attention domains. in the current study, the investigators use computerized battery to separate between the different attention abilities and provide specific attentional profile. in this study the investigators aim to characterize different attentional profiles in children who are diagnosed with ADHD versus children who diagnosed with other mental condition (which are common differential diagnoses of ADHD)
50 men will be recruited to this study. Participants will be asked to ingest commercially available bovine milk. Hormonal profile will be analyzed before and after consumption.
When screening results for cervical premalignant lesions are positive, colposcopy is recommended. This is highly sensitive screening method. However, specificity of the test is of low. Thus, a technology that improves the accuracy of the colposcopic exam is needed. This is a feasibility study with the goal of examining the performance of a thermal imaging camera in the detection of cervical malignant and premalignant lesions.
Introduction: The use of low dose risperidone and other antipsychotic drugs off-label as augmentation treatment for adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Disruptive Behavioral Disorder (DBD) has become widely common worldwide, usually to help control behavioral difficulties. While some argue that agents that block dopaminergic receptors may have a deleterious cognitive effect, others stress their moderating effects, which possibly improve function in all domains, including cognitive functions. Only a few studies have examined this topic, with inconclusive results. Aim of study: To measure the effect of risperidone treatment on various cognitive functions in a population of ADHD diagnosed children and adolescents with normal IQ. Design: The study is an observational prospective open label clinical controlled trial. The investigators will compare the performance in a battery of cognitive tasks using the Penn Web-Based Computerized Neurocognitive Battery (WebCNP) and the IGT, in children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, with and without risperidone. Study population: Children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, 8-17 years old, may be eligible for this study. We will recruit subjects who their psychiatrist is considering rispieridone treatment, those who are already treated with risperidone and subjects with only stimulants treatment. All pharmacological treatment is supervised and prescribed to subjects by their personal psychiatrist unrelated to the study. Significance: Better knowledge of the specific cognitive effects of this form of therapy will help us guide both clinical decisions, and recommended monitoring in daily clinical work.
Essential Hypertension is characterized by endothelial dysfunction due to reduced nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability. Impairment in nitric oxide-mediated vasodilatation in human brachial, coronary, and renal arteries has been demonstrated in patients with essential hypertension. Administration of L-arginine, a NO substrate yeld controversial results. The purpose of the present study, double blind and matched for age, sex and body mass index (BMI), is to assess the efficacy of L-arginine treatment on blood pressure (BP) control and arterial stiffness in patients with stage1 hypertension.
Patients who are genetically diagnosed with the recently reported and rare Wolfram syndrome type 2 ( WFS2) and have the degenerative and symptomatic disease including signs such as diabetes, platelet aggregation defect or visual problems will be asked to participate in this study. Knowing the pathomechanism of WFS2 with rapid cell death, after doing baseline investigations to asses the severity of their disease, the participants will be offered a chelator therapy with in addition to the antioxidant Acetylcystein, in diabetic patients an Incertin (GLP-1 ) therapy will be offered as well. The baseline investigations will be repeated after 2 months and after 5 months of therapy in order to asses the progression of the disease and to show if the chelator and anti oxidant therapy and in diabetic patients the GLP-1 therapy could stop the progression of the disease.
