There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Approximately 40% of members with a positive fecal occult blood result do not continue to followup colonoscopy in Meuhedet. The purpose of this study is to identify the structural, process, carer and patient related causes of undertreatment and suggest appropriate organisational interventions. Using both quantitative and qualitative methods, the investigators will identify organisational and personal barriers to completion of followup of positive FOBT.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of omadacycline as compared to moxifloxacin in the treatment of adults with community-acquired bacterial pneumonia.
This study is designed to assess the safety and effectiveness of BonyPid-500TM implantation for intrabony peri-implantitis defects. BonyPid-500™ is a bone graft substitute, which contains an antibiotic drug - doxycycline, and is intended for filling and reconstruction of bone defects caused by peri-implantitis.
This Phase 3 study was designed to demonstrate the net benefit of sotagliflozin versus placebo in patients with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
The incidence of early neonatal GBS (group B Streptococcus) infection in the Nazareth Hospital through the years 2006-2013 has been higher compared to the national average. On reviewing all the cases of infants with early GBS infection, revealed that some of these infants were born to mothers who are not included in any of the high-risk groups that need to have prophylactic antibiotic treatment before delivery. Therefore, the question was whether pregnant Arab women in the North district of Israel have a higher GBS carrier state rate than the general rate in Israel?
The Exalenz Dual Mode BreathID® Hp System comprised of IDkit: Hp™ TWO and the Dual Mode BreathID® Hp test device will be used to perform a urea breath test in the initial diagnosis and post treatment monitoring of H.pylori infection in adult patients and its results will be compared to biopsy results.
Primary Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of dupilumab, compared with placebo, for reducing the use of maintenance oral corticosteroids (OCS) in participants with severe steroid-dependent asthma. Secondary Objectives: - To evaluate the safety and tolerability of dupilumab. - To evaluate the effect of dupilumab in improving participants-reported outcomes. - To evaluate dupilumab systemic exposure and the incidence of treatment-emergent antidrug antibodies.
We hypothesized that the stress of cardiac surgery and cardiopulmonary bypass can cause reactivation of a latent CMV infection and that reactivation might be more prevalent in patients with complicated post-operative course. The study aims are: - To study whether cardiac surgery is a trigger for latent CMV reactivation and to compare reactivation rate between sub groups of patient with complicated post-operative course and non complicated post operative course. - To study the relationship between expression IL28 SNP rs12979860 and the risk of CMV replication in the non immunocompromised patient undergoing cardiac surgery.
Photoplethysmography (PPG) is a simple uncalibrated optical method of monitoring variations in skin blood volume. The objective of the current study is to investigate a potential relationship between MRT (minimum rise time, in time units) a measure derived from PPG and the state of microvessels. This study includes a 1-2 hour single session per subject during which PPG and other microvascular and systemic variables will be monitored in response to non-invasive interventions that are known to elicit microvascular responses.
A placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, phase III multicenter study in subjects recently hospitalized for ACS and with the appropriate genetic profile. Subjects will provide informed consent before any study-specific procedures are performed. Subject enrollment may begin in the hospital and will continue following release from the hospital. Screening procedures may be performed at the time of the index ACS event or anytime thereafter, with the condition that randomization must occur within the mandated window (4-12 weeks after the index event). Subjects will be assessed based on their medical history. Those who are likely to qualify will undergo Genotype Assay testing to evaluate genetic determination for the presence of AA genotype.
