There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Individuals of advanced age with cardiovascular disease are at higher risk of fall. The aim of this study is to explore the effect of specific exercise program based on balance and coordination on stability parameters
Infections are a major and prevalent life-threatening complication among patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Currently, the role of prophylactic antibacterial agents after chemotherapy in MDS patients remains controversial and there are no clinical guidelines for infection prophylaxis in this clinical setting. We will conduct a prospective study to evaluate the potential benefit of prophylactic antibacterial (Levofloxacin) on the rate of febrile episodes/infections in Azacytidine treated MDS patients.
To investigate the safety and pharmacokinetics of apixaban in children with congenital or acquired heart disease who have a need for anticoagulation.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of abemaciclib alone and in combination with other drugs versus standard of care in participants with previously treated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
The primary objective is to evaluate the anti-viral effect and safety of different doses of inhaled ALX-0171 in subjects hospitalized for Respiratory Syncytial Virus Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (RSV LRTI). The secondary objective is to evaluate the clinical activity, pharmacokinetic (PK) properties, pharmacodynamic (PD) effect and immunogenicity of different doses of inhaled ALX-0171.
The aim of the proposed study is to investigate the effectiveness of an interactive, virtual reality (VR) training program for pilots compared with standard care. The study will be a randomized controlled trial (RCT) consisting of 60 pilots randomized into one of two groups: standard physiotherapy and medical care vs standard care and VR training. Outcome measures will include subjective scores of pain intensity and global perceived effect; objective measures of range of motion (ROM), neck motion velocity, and motion accuracy; and functional measure of days grounded due to neck pain. Data will be analyzed using ANOVA for within and between groups analyses.
Case control study to evaluate different factors (e.g muscle strength, psychological factors) that are associated with full recovery and functional status 6 months after surgical repair of shoulder instability.
This single center, prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized two parts study (part I and part II) will assess the safety of topical cream (3% CBD and 3% THC), applied twice daily (bid), in healthy subjects, for up to 6 treatment weeks and additional 2 follow-up weeks.
The purpose of the trial is the analysis of safety and efficacy of the chymase inhibitor BAY1142524 at a dose of 25 mg BID in comparison to placebo using a 6 months treatment period in patients with left-ventricular (LV) dysfunction after myocardial infarction (MI). BAY1142524 or placebo will be given on top of evidence-based standard of care for left-ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction. Primary objective is the analysis of first signs of efficacy as determined by favourable changes in functional parameters of adverse cardiac remodelling (i.e. endsystolic and enddiastolic volume index, ejection fraction). Secondary objective is the analysis of safety and tolerability as evidenced by the incidence and severity of adverse events. 30 patients have to complete treatment with verum and 30 patients have to complete treatment with placebo.
There is growing awareness that environmental factors, behaviors and diet are intimately related to patient health and may play a role in the pathogenesis and progression of glaucoma. Evidence from recent years has shown that some behaviors and environmental factors can affect the intraocular pressure, the primary risk factor for glaucoma. This study aims to investigate whether simple and common lifestyle inteventions such as sleeping with a head elevation, a high fiber diet, moderate aerobic exercise and moderation in caffeine intake could affect intraocular pressure and other outcomes.
