NCT ID: NCT04715308 Recruiting - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Patient Experiences Following Urinary Diversion as Part of Surgery for Advanced and Recurrent Rectal Cancer

Pelvex 3
Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The outcomes of patients who undergo radical surgery for locally advanced and recurrent rectal cancer have improved vastly, but there is a lack of emphasis on the quality-of-life outcomes of these patients. This study will assess the patient experience of having a stoma for urinary diversion as part of surgery for advanced pelvic malignancy. This will be assessed at regular intervals both before and after surgery with the goal of increasing awareness of patient beliefs and concerns with regards to their stomas and to devise interventions that will improve their quality-of-life.

Start date: February 3, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This randomized study evaluates the antiviral activity, safety, efficacy and pharmacokinetics of AT-527 versus a placebo in participants with mild or moderate coronavirus disease (COVID-19) who are not hospitalized.

NCT ID: NCT04704934 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Gastroesophageal Junction Adenocarcinoma

Trastuzumab Deruxtecan for Subjects With HER2-Positive Gastric Cancer or Gastro-Esophageal Junction Adenocarcinoma After Progression on or After a Trastuzumab-Containing Regimen (DESTINY-Gastric04)

Start date: May 21, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) compared with ramucirumab and paclitaxel (Ram + PTX) in participants with HER2-positive gastric or gastro-esophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma who have progressed on or after a trastuzumab-containing regimen and have not received any additional systemic therapy.

NCT ID: NCT04704219 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

Pembrolizumab Plus Lenvatinib for First-line Advanced/Metastatic Non-clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (1L nccRCC) (MK-3475-B61)

KEYNOTE-B61
Start date: February 23, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is being performed as a single-arm open-label study in order to rapidly provide information on the potential benefits of the combination of pembrolizumab and lenvatinib in participants with previously untreated advanced/metastatic non-clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT04699253 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Heart Failure

Usability and Feasibility of a Personalized, Web-based Education and Self-management Approach for Patients With Chronic Heart Failure Across Four European Sites

STABILISE-HF
Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The STABELISE-HF is an investigator initiated, international, multicentre feasibility study that will investigate the use of a web application called SanaCoach Heart failure in patients with chronic heart failure. SanaCoach heart failure provides patient education, systematic self-monitoring, a care plan repository and facilitates correspondence with patient's care provider.

NCT ID: NCT04698577 Completed - Clinical trials for Attention Concentration Difficulty

Evaluation of a School-Based Attention Training Programme for Improving Concentration

Start date: November 26, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates a school-based attention training programme for improving sustained attention in children.

NCT ID: NCT04697628 Active, not recruiting - Cervical Cancer Clinical Trials

Tisotumab Vedotin vs Chemotherapy in Recurrent or Metastatic Cervical Cancer

innovaTV 301
Start date: February 22, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This trial is being done to find out whether tisotumab vedotin works better than chemotherapy to treat cervical cancer. People in this study have cervical cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic) or has come back after being treated (recurrent). Participants in this trial will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will be treated with tisotumab vedotin. Participants in the other group will get one of five different chemotherapy drugs (topotecan, vinorelbine, gemcitabine, pemetrexed, or irinotecan). Participants and their doctors will know which group they are in. Participants in the chemotherapy group will decide with their study doctor which drug they will take.

NCT ID: NCT04695873 Completed - Heloma Durum Clinical Trials

A 3 Day In-use Assessment of the Scholl Corn Foam Cushions on Pain Levels Associated With Heloma Durum.

Start date: June 16, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, single-centre, parallel-group clinical investigation to evaluate the symptomatic pain relief, consumer acceptability and in-use tolerability of the Scholl Corn Foam Cushion in participants suffering from painful Heloma Durum over a 72-hour at home in-use period compared to a no-treatment control group.

NCT ID: NCT04687111 Active, not recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Personalised Prospective Comparison of ARni With ArB in Patients With Natriuretic Peptide eLEvation

PARABLE
Start date: December 16, 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Sacubitril-valsartan, an Angiotensin Receptor Blocker-Neprilysin Inhibitor (ARNI), currently marketed for the management of heart failure, has been shown to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in stage C heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. In stage C HFpEF, sacubitril-valsartan has also been shown to reduce left atrial volume index measured using echocardiography over a 9 month timeframe. The PARABLE study investigates the hypothesis that sacubitril-valsartan can provide benefits in terms of left atrial structure and function as well as left ventricular structure and function in asymptomatic (stage A/B HFpEF) patients. This is a prospective, randomised, double-blind, double-dummy, phase II study design. The patient population will have hypertension and/or diabetes together with preserved ejection fraction, elevated natriuretic peptide (NP) and abnormal left atrial volume index (LAVI, > 28 mL/m2).
