This study is a continuation of the placebo-controlled study CE1226_4001 (NCT00261833) to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Zemaira® i.v. administration in subjects with emphysema due to alpha1-proteinase inhibitor deficiency. The long-term verification of a disease-modifying benefit of Zemaira® on the progression of emphysema will be assessed by volume-adjusted lung density, measured yearly by computed tomography (CT).

To find out more information on how treating impotence with vardenafil in comparison to placebo affects the quality of life (QoL) of men and their partners. Subjects will receive 10mg vardenafil or placebo for 4 weeks followed by an 8 week period when the dose of vardenafil may be reduced to 5mg or increased to 20mg. Subjects will then receive their 'preferred' dose for 14 weeks. During this time Quality of Life Measures will be collected via questionnaires

The aim of this observational study is to evaluate the incidence of serious adverse reactions (SARs) while using Levemir® (insulin detemir) under normal clinical practice conditions. Some countries participated in the study for only 3 months (Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Lebanon, Slovenia, Russia, and Turkey), while others extended their participation to 6 (Belgium/Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Greece, India, Italy, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Tunisia, and United Kingdom/Ireland) and 12 months (Finland, France, and Japan), respectively.

A Study of RO4607381 in Stable Coronary Heart Disease Patients With Recent Acute Coronary Syndrome

This study will evaluate the potential of RO4607381 to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in stable coronary heart disease patients with recent Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and evaluate the long term safety profile of the drug. Eligible patients in stable condition will be randomized to receive either RO4607381 600mg po or placebo po, daily, together with a background of standard medication for ACS (including aspirin, antihypertensives and statins). The anticipated time on study treatment is 2+ years, and the target sample size is 15,600 individuals.
