NCT ID: NCT00674973 Completed - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

A Biomarker Identification Trial of Tarceva (Erlotinib) in Patients With Advanced Pancreatic Cancer

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to identify biomarkers which may predict improvement in progression free survival from treatment with Tarceva, in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer who failed one prior regimen of standard chemotherapy or who are deemed unsuitable for chemotherapy. It will also assess the efficacy and safety of Tarceva in this patient population. Patients will be randomized to receive either Tarceva 150mg/day po, or placebo po daily. Tumor tissue will be used for biomarker analysis. The anticipated time on study treatment is until disease progression, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.

NCT ID: NCT00674323 Completed - Clinical trials for Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy

Efficacy and Safety of Verteporfin Added to Ranibizumab in the Treatment of Symptomatic Macular Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy

PCV
Start date: April 2008
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to compare the efficacy of ranibizumab and verteporfin PDT combination treatment and verteporfin PDT monotherapy vs.ranibizumab monotherapy alone in achieving complete regression of polyps in patients with symptomatic macular polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy.

NCT ID: NCT00671307 Completed - Infection Clinical Trials

Ascending Single Dose Study of Rhu-pGelsolin in Patients With Decreased Gelsolin Levels

Start date: March 2008
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to assess the pharmacokinetics and safety of an infusion of a single dose of recombinant plasma gelsolin (rhu-pGelsolin) when given to patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with documented low levels of natural gelsolin. It is believed that this drug will raise the gelsolin levels in these patients and decrease the probability that they will develop complications from their underlying disease such as organ system failure or death.

NCT ID: NCT00670592 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Study of HCD122 in Adults With Non-Hodgkin's or Hodgkin's Lymphoma Who Have Progressed After at Least Two Prior Therapies

Start date: March 2008
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is to evaluate the highest tolerated dose, safety and activity of HCD122 in adults with non-Hodgkin's or Hodgkin's lymphoma who have received at least two prior therapies.

NCT ID: NCT00668135 Completed - Clinical trials for Erectile Dysfunction

Assessment of Vardenafil in Patients With Erectile Dysfunction in Asia

Start date: March 2003
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

To demonstrate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of 10 mg oral vardenafil (BAY 38-9456) compared to placebo for a period of 12 weeks in men with erectile dysfunction (ED)

NCT ID: NCT00667823 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Clinical Study to Assess the Long-term Safety and Tolerability of ACT 064992 in Patients With Symptomatic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

SERAPHIN OL
Start date: October 17, 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main objective of the AC 055 303/SERAPHIN OL study, which will follow the AC 055 302/SERAPHIN study, will be to assess the long-term safety and tolerability of ACT 064992 in patients with symptomatic PAH.

NCT ID: NCT00660881 Completed - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Open-label Study of Epratuzumab in Serologically-positive Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Patients With Active Disease

Start date: May 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study is to assess the safety of epratuzumab in patients with SLE.

NCT ID: NCT00660179 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Study of Macitentan (ACT-064992) on Morbidity and Mortality in Patients With Symptomatic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

SERAPHIN
Start date: May 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The AC-055-302/SERAPHIN study will be an event-driven Phase III study, comparing two different doses of macitentan (ACT-064992) (3 and 10 mg) vs placebo in patients with symptomatic PAH. The main study objective is to demonstrate that macitentan (ACT-064992) prolongs time to the first morbidity or mortality event, and to evaluate the benefit/risk profile of macitentan (ACT-064992) in the treatment of patients with symptomatic PAH.

NCT ID: NCT00656747 Completed - Chronic Bronchitis Clinical Trials

Moxifloxacin Versus Amoxicillin Clavulanic Acid in Treatment of Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis

Start date: March 2008

Study type: Interventional

A study to assess the safety and efficacy of moxifloxacin compared to that of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid for the treatment of subjects with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.

NCT ID: NCT00656136 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Non-Small-Cell Lung

BIBW 2992 and BSC Versus Placebo and BSC in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Patients Failing Erlotinib or Gefitinib (LUX-LUNG 1)

Start date: April 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, double-blind, multi-center Phase IIb/III trial will be performed in patients with NSCLC who have received previous treatment with at least one but not more than two lines of cytotoxic chemotherapy (one line must have been a platinum-containing regimen) and either gefitinib or erlotinib for a period of at least 12 weeks and then progressed. The primary objective of this randomized trial is to determine the efficacy of BIBW 2992 as a single agent (Arm A) as compared to a matching placebo (Arm B) in this patient population. Patients on both treatment arms will receive best supportive care in addition to study treatment. Patients enrolled into the trial will be treated and followed until death or lost to follow-up.
