SMS Mobile Technology for Vaccine Coverage and Acceptance

To pilot test a mobile phone SMS (Short Message Service) system that will provide periodical messaging texts to mothers or custodians of infants who come for their first dose vaccines within the first 3 months of life to improve timely immunization coverage, vaccine acceptance and ensure vaccine safety monitoring. The intervention will include a "cloud-based" information system alimented by mobile phone data entry at the health post nurse level, that links child vaccination status and is able to remind parents and nurses of the need for next vaccination appointment and provide a system for reporting of adverse events following immunization in the immediate post-vaccination period.

ODYSSEY Outcomes: Evaluation of Cardiovascular Outcomes After an Acute Coronary Syndrome During Treatment With Alirocumab

Primary Objective: To compare the effect of alirocumab with placebo on the occurrence of cardiovascular (CV) events (composite endpoint of coronary heart disease (CHD) death, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), fatal and non-fatal ischemic stroke, unstable angina (UA) requiring hospitalization) in participants who experienced an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) event 4 to 52 weeks prior to randomization and were treated with evidence-based medical and dietary management of dyslipidemia. Secondary Objectives: - To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on secondary endpoints (any CHD event , major CHD event, any CV event, composite of all cause mortality/non-fatal MI/non-fatal ischemic stroke, CHD deaths, CV deaths, all cause mortality). - To evaluate the safety and tolerability of alirocumab. - To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on lipid parameters.

A Study of Onartuzumab in Combination With mFOLFOX6 in Participants With Metastatic HER2-Negative and MET-Positive Gastroesophageal Cancer

This randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of onartuzumab (MetMAb) in combination with 5-fluorouracil, folinic Acid, and oxaliplatin (mFOLFOX6) in participants with metastatic human epidermal growth receptor (HER) 2-negative and MET-positive adenocarcinoma of the stomach or gastroesophageal junction. Participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either onartuzumab or placebo in combination with mFOLFOX6. Participants may continue to receive onartuzumab or placebo until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, participant or physician decision to discontinue treatment.

The aim of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of two doses (high and low) of empagliflozin as add-on therapy to metformin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and insufficient glycaemic control. Both doses may be given once daily or split to a twice daily dosage. This results in 4 different dosage regimens of empagliflozin (high dose once daily or split vs. low dose once daily or split). This is done to evaluate whether a twice daily dose regimen of empagliflozin results in a loss of efficacy relative to once daily dosing when given on top of metformin background therapy.

This multicenter, two-cohort, non-randomized, open-label study will evaluate the safety and tolerability of assisted and self-administered SC Herceptin as adjuvant therapy in participants with early HER2-positive breast cancer following tumor excision. Participants will receive Herceptin 600 milligrams (mg) SC every 3 weeks for 18 cycles, either by an assisted administration using a conventional syringe and needle/vial formulation (Cohort A) or with assisted and self-administration using a single-use injection device (SID) in selected participants (Cohort B).
