This is a Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and the effect of 2 mg Baxdrostat vs. placebo, administered QD orally, on the reduction of SBP, measured by average 24-hour ABPM in 212 participants with rHTN (defined as seated SBP ≥ 140 mmHg at Screening and mean ambulatory SBP ≥ 130 mmHg at baseline, despite a stable regimen of ≥ 3 antihypertensive agents, one of which is a diuretic).

The prevalence of urinary incontinence (UI) in the female Greek population is 1 to 3 women (27%).Globally, the development of tele-rehabilitation programs through mobile application (mobile apps) has been a breakthrough for UI treatment. More specifically, the pelvic floor muscles (PFM) exercise programs through mobile apps, provide optimal health care services by offering to the patients a therapy program in the convenient environment of their choice (e.g their homes), with safety and less expense. Furthermore, it is given the opportunity to patients with mobility problems or with lack of transport or to them who live in remote areas, to treat their incontinence. However, the majority of the existence mobile apps, work as simple verbal instructions and they do not being tailored in patients' individual needs, which is necessary for the successful implementation of the PFM exercise programs. Additionally, the PFM training is effective for UI treatment, when occurs intensively (daily) with supervision for at least 3 months by a physiotherapist. However, the adherence to a such intensive treatment program is very often compromised, because of many reasons (e.g lack of interest etc). Therefore the main purpose of the current study is, to investigate the effectiveness of a tele-rehabilitation program, through a novel, innovative mobile app (customized in patients needs), in cooperation with a PFM superficial sensor. The mobile app will offer an interactive environment and the opportunity of a simultaneous supervision by a physiotherapist during the treatment, which might provide sufficient motivation to the patient to adhere with the intensive PFM exercise program. A secondary objective of the study is, to investigate the degree of adherence to PFM exercises and the degree of supervision, which is needed in the tele-rehabilitation program. Both the mobile app and the PFM superficial sensor, will be created for the needs of the present study.
HEROES is a multidisciplinary neurophysiological & neural rehabilitation engineering project, developed by the Lab of Medical Physics & Digital Innovation, School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Science Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and supported by a Neurosurgical Department. The investigation's primary objectives include the development, testing and optimization of an intervention based on multiple immersive man-machine interfaces offering rich feedback, that include a) mountable robotic arm controlled with wireless Brain-Computer Interface and b) wearable robotics jacket & gloves in combination with a serious game application and c) augmented reality module for the presentation of the previous two, as well as the development and validation of a self-paced neuro-rehabilitation protocol for patients after chronic stroke with severe residual motor disability.
Protamine is routinely used as a heparin reversal agent in cardiac surgery. However, its use may be associated with adverse events, while protamine excess may have additional anti-coagulant affect. Although guidelines advise towards a diminished reversal ratio, clinical practice remain heterogenic. The purpose of this study is to compare two different reversal ratios (0.6:1 και 0.8:1) of total heparin regarding the Activated Clotting Time (ACT), viscoelastic assays (Clot-Pro) and clinical hemorrhage. A baseline ACT value and Clot Pro tests will be obtained prior to the operation start. After the initial reversal, ACT, Clot Pro tests will be conducted again. Coagulation factors are administrated according to Clot Pro results, and in case of ongoing clinical hemorrhage and any indication of heparin excess in the measured values, another 25mg of protamine is administrated, while tests are repeated.
The rate of successful intubation and the required time for intubation, using Vie Scope and Macintosh Laryngoscope will be compared, in order to evaluate the efficacy of Vie Scope in comparison with Macintosh in expected easy airways. Hence, a prospective randomized controlled single-blind superiority clinical trial will be conducted. Inclusion criteria: patients of both sexes, positive or negative rapid test for COVID-19 or possible contamination, age ≥18 years old, BMI: 18.5 - 30 kg/m2, visualization of the glottis grade 1 or 2, according to Cormack-Lehane Classification. Exclusion criteria: age under 18 years old, BMI under 18.5 kg/m2 and BMI over 30 kg/m2, visualization of the glottis grade 3 - 4, according to Cormack-Lehane Classification. The laryngoscopy and intubation of the patients will be attempted by the same person-resident of Anesthesiology, under the supervision of experienced Anesthesiologist consultants.

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare GnRH-agonist trigger with dual GnRH-agonist and HCG trigger in oocyte donors. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Maturation rate (Metaphase II/ Total number of COCs collected) - Fertilization rate - Embryo quality day 3 - Fragmentation rate embryo day 3 - Blastulation rate (Day5/6/7) - Quality of blastocyst (Gardner criteria) Participants will undergo controlled ovarian stimulation with a GnRH antagonist protocol Researchers will compare the effects of final maturation with GnRH-agonist trigger to a dual trigger (hCG and GnRH-a)
