There are about 25435 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United Kingdom. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Patients (UK only) at least 6 months post stroke, with upper limb deficits, may enroll. Patients will be randomized to one of two groups - a group implanted with a device that allows pairing VNS with rehabilitation and a group that only receives rehabilitation (no implant). Patients have two baseline evaluations, one evaluation after implant but before initiation of treatment, and then six weeks of rehabilitation or rehabilitation + VNS, followed by post acute therapy evaluations at 1, 7, and 30 days after the 6-weeks of treatment. The intent is to assess safety and provide preliminary effectiveness information for VNS for upper limb functional improvement after stroke. Implanted patients may receive longer-term treatment and follow-up after the acute study.
The purpose of the study is to compare the clinical benefit, as measured by duration of overall survival, of Nivolumab vs. Everolimus in subjects with advanced or metastatic clear-cell renal cell carcinoma who have received prior anti-angiogenic therapy
A study for patients with confirmed locally advanced or metastatic Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the bladder or upper urinary tracts who have developed progressive disease within 12 months of their platinum based chemotherapy. The study aims to compare the overall response rate of cabazitaxel treatment versus best supportive care including single agent chemotherapy.
A study to investigate the mass balance recovery and pharmacokinetics of 14C TZP-101.
This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of vemurafenib in participants with completely resected, cutaneous BRAF mutation-positive melanoma at high risk for recurrence. Participants will be enrolled in two separate cohorts: Cohort 1 will include participants with completely resected Stage IIC, IIIA (participants with one or more nodal metastasis greater than [>] 1 millimeter [mm] in diameter), or IIIB cutaneous melanoma, as defined by the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) Classification, Version 7; Cohort 2 will include participants with Stage IIIC cutaneous melanoma, as defined by this classification scheme. Within each cohort, participants will be randomized (1:1 ratio) to receive vemurafenib or matching placebo over a 52-week period.
We want to find out if kisspeptin is successful in stimulating oocyte maturation when it is used as a 'trigger' injection during IVF therapy for infertility.
This single-center, single-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study with crossover component will evaluate the GABAAalpha5 receptor expression, occupancy and functional connectivity in the brains of individuals with Down syndrome and healthy controls following single dose RG1662. Participants will receive a single dose of placebo before the imaging session (PET and MRI), and a single dose of RG1662 before the second imaging session.
The purposes of this study are two-fold. The first purpose is to determine the effect of taking vitamins on the recovery of an artery (blood vessel) following an induced temporary injury. The second purpose is to determine whether a specific vasodilator is less abundant after the injury and whether this contributes to increased constriction or after the injury. Finally, does vitamin consumption have an effect on the recovery from the injury if one of the substances in the blood that causes vessels to enlarge (dilate) is stopped?
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a single oral dose of MT-1303 in subjects with inflammatory bowel disease.
