NCT ID: NCT02106312 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Myxoid Liposarcoma of Soft Tissue

Dose Reduction of Preoperative Radiotherapy in Myxoid Liposarcomas

DOREMY
Start date: December 15, 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To study the feasibility of reducing the dose of preoperative radiotherapy in MLS (Myxoid Liposarcomas) from 50 Gy to 36 Gy while maintaining comparable clinicopathological responses.

NCT ID: NCT02101788 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Ovarian Serous Adenocarcinoma

Trametinib in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Progressive Low-Grade Ovarian Cancer or Peritoneal Cavity Cancer

Start date: February 27, 2014
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This phase II/III trial studies how well trametinib works and compares it to standard treatment with either letrozole, tamoxifen, paclitaxel, pegylated liposomal doxorubicin, or topotecan in treating patients with low-grade ovarian cancer or peritoneal cavity cancer that has come back (recurrent), become worse (progressive), or spread to other parts of the body. Trametinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether trametinib is more effective than standard therapy in treating patients with ovarian or peritoneal cavity cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02100722 Active, not recruiting - Coronary Disease Clinical Trials

A Comparison of Fractional Flow Reserve-Guided Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery in Patients With Multivessel Coronary Artery Disease

FAME 3
Start date: August 25, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Fractional flow reserve (FFR, (coronary pressure wire-based index for assessing the ischemic potential of a coronary lesion)-guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease (CAD) will result in similar outcomes to coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG).

NCT ID: NCT02098044 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Osteoarthritis of the Knee

Knee Osteoarthritis Risk in Retired Professional Footballers

Start date: November 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The OA and Football Study is an epidemiological study designed to establish the prevalence of knee osteoarthritis in retired professional footballers. The study will also identify the key risk factors associated with knee osteoarthritis. The study is comprised of three phases: Phase I involves the dissemination of a questionnaire (demographic details, players history, injury and surgery and other known risk factors of OA), Phase II is a radiographic study that involves x-rays in a sample of footballers both with and without knee pain and Phase III is a case control study which will compared retired professional footballers with age-matched controls recruited from the general population in the East Midlands region.

NCT ID: NCT02091258 Active, not recruiting - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

Tooth Loss in Periodontitis Patients

Start date: June 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Tooth loss in periodontitis patients is associated with patient and site factors as well as with treatment provided. Not much is known about long-term tooth loss in periodontitis patients in private practice in the UK. The study plans to follow-up 200 subjects with periodontitis (and currently on maintenance therapy) for 5 years. The effect of treatment provided, site and patient risk factors on tooth loss will be studied.

NCT ID: NCT02088554 Active, not recruiting - Aortic Stenosis Clinical Trials

PERIGON Pivotal Trial

PERIGON
Start date: May 12, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Model 400 aortic valve bioprosthesis.

NCT ID: NCT02087423 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Global Study to Assess the Effects of MEDI4736 (Durvalumab) in Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

ATLANTIC
Start date: February 25, 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A study to assess the Effects of MEDI4736 (Durvalumab) in Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non Small Cell Lung Cancer in terms of efficacy, safety and tolerability

NCT ID: NCT02086916 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Clostridium Difficile Infection

Novel Biomarkers to Predict Outcome in Clostridium Difficile Infection

Start date: October 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Acquiring diarrhoea in hospital is a serious problem and most frequently occurs when susceptible patients receive antibiotics as part of their (often life-saving) care. The commonest cause is Clostridium difficile - a bacterium that normally lives in up to a third of us but causes no problems. Rates of infection had been falling with increased awareness and improved hygiene but they are starting to creep up again. Clostridium difficile can cause a range of disease from a short-lived mild diarrhoea to severe disease of the bowel with major effects on the whole body and even death. This study aims to identify substances in the stool and in the blood to enable doctors to predict how severe that individual's disease will be. These tests can easily be performed. If they prove accurate in identifying the subsequent severity of the patient's illness due to Clostridium difficile, patients predicted to develop the worst disease can receive the most intensive treatments before they become too unwell to benefit. On the other hand, patients whose disease is predicted by these markers to run its course without causing serious consequences can be spared the side effects and risks of more intensive treatment.

NCT ID: NCT02077868 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

Evaluation of MGN1703 Maintenance Treatment in Patients With mCRC With Tumor Reduction During Induction Treatment

IMPALA
Start date: September 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this this trial is to prove the efficacy and safety of MGN1703 as a maintenance therapy after first-line chemotherapeutic treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02076009 Active, not recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

A Study Comparing Daratumumab, Lenalidomide, and Dexamethasone With Lenalidomide and Dexamethasone in Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma

Start date: May 23, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional
