The KereFish study is a randomized controlled study to study the efficacy of Kerecis Omega3 Wound on deep diabetic ulcers. This study is probably the first in his field: in this one, the Kerecis Omega3 Wound dies are used on the types of wounds for which they are ultimately intended. This study aims to document the cost benefits of earlier closure of severe diabetic wounds, or the change of the deep and chronic wound into a smaller and shallower ulcer, and to radically alter its prognosis. The study, carried out in France, uses the pre-existing home nursing system with the transmission of photographs to the reference centre. The study was largely designed to ensure transparency of the financial calculations involved.

An improvement in professional practices on the topic of frailty is desirable as much for ambulatory care teams (professionals in home care services) than for hospital care teams (medical and paramedical). Geriatric prevention, screening for frailty, are major challenges for the years to come and require involvement and a know-how. The main hypothesis is that the screening of the frailty of the elderly, by the home care services is relevant and reliable, therefore making it possible to detect a state of frailty and organize preventive care at the earliest. The objectives of this research work are: - to demonstrate that the use of a questionnaire, simple and already validated for a medical use, can be administered by home care services with just as much relevance, - to democratize the detection of frailty by demonstrating that home care services have an important role to play in terms of screening and therefore an equally important impact in terms of public health, - to recall the importance of screening in medical practice, including for the elderly.

Acute cell rejection is a common complication of lung transplantation. The pathological diagnosis is based on the performance of transbronchial biopsies which are associated with a significant risk of potentially severe pneumothorax and hemoptysis. Confocal microscopy performed during bronchial endoscopy provides real-time images of the lungs on a microscopic scale. Thus, it is possible to visualize the alveoli, capillaries and intra-alveolar inflammatory cells. So far, work on the subject has only investigated the ability of this technique to determine the presence of acute cell rejection on post-fibroscopy analysis. Our hypothesis is that the absence of airway inflammation seen during the procedure by confocal microscopy is able to rule out the diagnosis of ACR and avoid the performance of transbronchial biopsies. Our job is to first assess the feasibility of the per-procedure evaluation and determine a decision algorithm. If the result is conclusive, a larger study will be carried out to assess the negative predictive value of this approach for the diagnosis of acute cell rejection.

Virtual Reality as Anxiety Management Tool for Preparing Children for MR Exam

The access to MRI examination is limited due to the duration of the acquisitions, the noise and the narrow patient space of the device. A child can, therefore, be anxious, less cooperative and move more during the acquisition, affecting the quality of the examination and the medical diagnosis. General anesthesia or sedation, may be considered to obtain diagnostic quality examinations. Our hypothesis is that a scenario as close as possible to reality to prepare children before the MR exam could reduce their anxiety, improve the quality of the exams and reduce its duration. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of virtual reality on MRI exam preparation to reduce the anxiety of children (aged from 6 to 12 years) who are referred to their first MRI exam, as compared to the current practice.
