There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Metformin is an oral antidiabetic of the biguanide class derived from galega officinalis. Historical cohort of patients with diabetes have shown that diabetics on Metformin had a better chance of survival than diabetics not on Metformin. These observations have led to in vitro studies of metformin on cancer cells. It was thus demonstrated that Metformin has anti-proliferative properties. The aim of our study is to evaluate the efficacy of metformin in combination with neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the plasma pharmacokinetics (PK) of fidaxomicin (FDX) and primary metabolite OP-1118 in Subjects with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and C. difficile Infection (CDI). This study will also compare CDI clinical response to the microbiological response in terms of magnitude of reduction of C. difficile total viable count and spore count during treatment with FDX and if achieved; the time to microbial eradication; determine time to negative CDI toxin assay in stool specimens during treatment with FDX; assess the stool concentrations of FDX and metabolite OP-1118 throughout therapy; assess the length of hospital stay, readmissions and resource utilization for IBD patients receiving FDX; record the incidence and severity of Adverse Events (AEs) and document the impact of treatment on Quality of Life as measured by the changes in Short Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire (IBDQ) score.
To determine whether treatment with alpelisib plus fulvestrant prolongs progression-free survival compared to fulvestrant and placebo in men and postmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive (HR+), HER2-negative advanced breast cancer, who received prior treatment with an Aromatase Inhibitor either as (neo)adjuvant or for advanced disease.
This is a phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy of ibrutinib in combination with nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine for the first line treatment of patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
Whether to intervene in asymptomatic patients with severe aortic stenosis and normal left ventricular ejection fraction remains controversial. The investigators therefore try to compare clinical outcomes of elective aortic valve replacement to conventional treatment and watchful waiting strategy in a prospective randomized trial.
To evaluate the effect of idalopirdine (120 and 360 mg) on cardiac repolarisation in healthy men.
This is a single arm, open-label, multi-center, phase II study to determine the efficacy and safety of CTL019 in pediatric patients with r/r B-cell ALL.
To determine whether MCS110 antibody therapy improves the efficacy of carboplatin and gemcitabine (carbo/gem) in advanced TNBC patients
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ramucirumab in participants with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and elevated baseline alpha-fetoprotein. Participants will be randomized to ramucirumab or placebo in a 2:1 ratio (Main Global Cohort and China Maximized Extended Enrollment [MEE] Cohort). Participants may also receive ramucirumab if eligible to be enrolled in Open-Label Expansion (OLE) Cohort.
This is a randomized, open-label, multicenter, two arm, phase II study to evaluate treatment compliance and change in serum ferritin of a deferasirox granule formulation and a deferasirox DT formulation in children and adolescents aged ≥ 2 and < 18 years at enrollment with any transfusion-dependent anemia requiring chelation therapy due to iron overload, to demonstrate the effect of improved compliance on iron burden. Randomization will be stratified by age groups (2 to <10 years, 10 to <18 years) and prior iron chelation therapy (Yes/ No). There will be two study phases which include a 1 year core phase where patients will be randomized to a 48 week treatment period to either Deferasirox DT or granules, and an optional extension phase where all patients will receive the granules up to 5 years. Patients who demonstrated benefit to granules or DT in the core phase, and/or express the wish to continue in the optional extension phase on granules, will be offered this possibility until there is local access to the new formulation (granules or FCT) or up to 5 years, whichever occurs first.
