There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
PDAC (Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma) represents 90% of pancreatic tumors. The prognosis of PDAC remains poor at this time. Its management is based on surgery for early stages, associated with neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy. However, around 80% of patients will relapse after surgery. There is a lack of efficient biological biomarkers of PDAC, especially for prognosis. To date, CA19-9 is commonly used despite its lack of sensitivity and specificity. Ribosomal protein SA (RPSA) is a transmembrane receptor localized at the cell surface but also in the cytosolic and nuclear regions. RPSA interacts with many proteins in the extracellular matrix (ECM), including laminin-1 and elastin. RPSA in involved in different cellular functions such as cell adhesion, migration, proliferation and differentiation. The expression of RPSA is increased in many cancers including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, etc. It could represent a molecular biomarker of tumor invasion and metastatic abilities. Moreover, the concentration of RPSA could be measured in the serum of patients with PDAC. Recent data suggest that a modification of the RPSA concentration could be a prognostic biomarker of PDAC.
We aim to assess the usefulness of systematic reinterpretation of CNV of unknown significance. To investigate this question we will study all CNV of unknown significance detected between 2010 and 2017.
Pregnancy and postpartum are recognized as periods of psychic fragility. However, the psychiatric disorders of women that can emerge during these periods are underdiagnosed and have consequences in particular on the development of the child, his relationship with his parents. The need for an early diagnosis to allow appropriate treatment seems to be essential. The pregnancy monitoring is centered on the somatic and little on psychological evaluation of the mother and the father. In this context, the Early Prenatal Interview (EPP) was created through the perinatal plan of 2005-2007 in order to allow a more precise research of the factors of vulnerabilities likely to be predictive of a somatic, psychological or social disorder. However, until now, only few pregnant women benefited of this interview. In May 2020, EPP became mandatory for all pregnant women. It now seems important to clearly identify the place, function, organization and usefulness of this interview in order to maximize its benefit in the monitoring of pregnancy
Validate a virtual environment by demonstrating a non modification of the characteristics of postural reaction and displacement of the body's center of pressure between a real environment and the same environment in immersive virtual reality.
In 2017, it is estimated that nearly 60,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in France. Although several treatments are indicated in this context, chemotherapy remains a curability option whose place today extends to small tumors to support its increasingly approved administration contributing to a continuous increase in survival rates. However, diagnostic procedures and anti-cancer treatments are frequently responsible for toxicity that can reach high levels of severity and even generate sequelae. These physical and psychological after-effects of breast cancer treatment have a short and medium-term impact on the quality of life of the patients treated: anxiety, fear, pain, job loss, and the onset of precariousness. In addition, surgical procedures such as PAC and pic-line surgery are often associated with anxiety and pain. Chemotherapy is particularly associated with anxiety, stress, fatigue, nausea and vomiting. Some immediate, delayed or even anticipated side effects are not always effectively controlled by the medication available to us. Anti-nausea medications can lead to drug interactions and/or other adverse effects. The interest of a non-drug approach is to get rid of these adverse effects. However, it is underestimated and therefore currently not integrated into current practice. Its benefits must therefore be explored within the framework of in-depth research protocols that justify our study.
The primary objective of this study is to assess in real-life settings the effectiveness of conservative treatments on symptoms, signs and quality of life, in patients consulting for CVD
Intra-articular and peri-articular glucocorticoid (GC) injections are common in sports medicine. However, from 1st January 2022, all injectable GC routes (including intra-articular administration (IA)) will be prohibited in-competition by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Due to these rules, an IA GC treatment out-of-competition could result in an adverse analytical finding (AAF) in-competition if the washout period is not clearly defined. The aim of this study is to determine the urinary excretion profile of triamcinolone acetonide following IA to help in the definition of the washout periods.
This study is conducted to clinically document the melatonin bioavailability of two dietary supplements containing melatonin : one prolonged release tablet dosed at 1.9mg and one spray dosed at 1mg for 2 oral sprays.
The prediction of motor recovery in the acute phase of stroke is crucial for several clinical reasons: (i) informing the patient and his relatives, (ii) helping to identify the patient's endorsement (return home or rehabilitation) as well as the adaptation of the rehabilitation program to what can be expected from it. To date, an algorithm (decision tree) proposed by C. Stinear's team named PREP2 is the best predictive tool with 75% of patients well classified at 3 months. It predicts the functional recovery of the upper limb after stroke 3 months before the episode by categorizing recovery as "excellent", "good", "limited" as well as "minor" (poor). With two data (SAFE score, age) or three (SAFE score, Motor evoked potential, NIHSS), the prediction is effective three times out of 4. In the study the team is proposing "PREP-UCV", it would like to validate this algorithm as it is with patients in the active file who are victims of stroke. The expected accuracy is 75% or more. As a secondary objective, the team would like to confirm that it find the same algorithm starting from the initial data from PREP 2 (side of the stroke, type of stroke (ischemic and / or hemorrhagic), involvement of the corticospinal tract on MRI, sex at birth ) as well as two other factors which are also very important: cognitive status (dysexecutive / aphasia / neglect), as well as the neutrophils on lymphocytes ratio.
This study aims to assess the effectiveness of serious EUREKOI gambling on the anxiety of family caregivers of patients with newly diagnosed Alzheimer's disease.
