There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
One of the main RRT issues is anticoagulation of the ECC, because blood contact with biomaterials causes bio-incompatibility reactions, including activation of the coagulation cascade. Based on Regional Citrate Anticoagulation (RCA) protocols, an ionized calcium (Ca-ion) concentration around 0.25 to 0.35mmol / L prevents fibrino formation and allows anticoagulation for the ECC. During RCA, metabolic side effects may occur due to systemic flow of citrate. Our postulate is that reduction of ionized calcemia related to the use of a calcium-free dialysate and haemofilter performance makes it possible to avoid citrate infusion. Our study aim to compare intermittent RRT using 4% Citrate infusion and without Citrate.
The gold standard surgical treatment for benign nasosinus pathologies is endoscopic surgery. This surgery has experienced considerable growth over the last 30 years. Nevertheless, these techniques can potentially lead to serious complications, with risks of damaging adjacent structures (orbit, optic nerve, meninge or internal carotid artery). Therefore, improving the safety of these procedures is a fundamental objective. Recently, computer-assisted surgery, allowing endonasal navigation, has emerged. It appears to be an asset for the patient, limiting complications and morbidity, and for the surgeon, improving his comfort and reducing his mental workload. The major pitfall of the current technique is the loss of localisation reliability during the intervention due to the registration process and the presence of two screens (to locate the object on the endoscopic image and on the scan) We would like to propose solutions to these limitations using a device based on augmented reality and 3D reconstructions. It would guide the gesture in endonasal endoscopic surgery by displaying high-risk areas and surgical landmarks in a reliable and precise way.
This study is part of the clinical evaluation of SEBBIN silicone gel-filled testicular implants, included in the technical file of the device. The aim of the study is to gather additional data about the safety and effectiveness of the device.
Multicenter, prospective, open-labeled, 2-arm, non-comparative randomized phase II trial to assess the antitumor activity of retifanlimab (INCMGA00012) in association with neoadjuvant chemotherapy
For the FILO group, the standard of care for induction chemotherapy of elderly fit patients with AML is represented by the combination of Cytarabine, Idarubicin and Lomustine. The superiority of this combination was confirmed in a larger prospective study the LAMSA-2007. This induction treatment, followed by six courses of consolidation (Idarubicin and Cytarabine) followed then by a period of 6-month maintenance therapy, allows up to 80 % of remission, and a RFS of 46 % at 2 years. The aim of the study is to assess the efficacy on outcome of Venetoclax combined with Cytarabine versus Idarubicin combined with Cytarabine administered as post-remission therapy to elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia in first complete remission (CR) following induction chemotherapy.
This is an interventional, Phase III, double-blind, randomized, controlled, parallel-group, multi-site, clinical trial to confirm the efficacy and safety of repeated topical application of Qutenza (capsaicin 8% topical system) versus low-dose capsaicin control (capsaicin 0.04% topical system) in subjects with moderate to severe postsurgical neuropathic pain (PSNP).
ARDS is characterized by a diffuse, bilateral, extensive alveolar-interstitial infiltrate related to damage to the alveolar membrane. Studies of lung morphology assessed by CT scan have shown 2 types of ARDS. When the loss of ventilation is posterior and caudal, and the pulmonary parenchyma is otherwise "healthy", ARDS is said to be focal. When the loss of ventilation is diffuse, associated with excess tissue affecting the entire lung parenchyma, ARDS is said to be non-focal or diffuse. Only one recent multicenter study has evaluated whether individualized PEEP adjustment according to lung morphology (focal vs. non-focal) could improve ARDS survival outcomes compared with standard of care. Results for the primary endpoint, 90-day mortality, were negative. But lung morphology was misclassified on CT occurred 85 (21%) of 400 patients. In addition, per-protocol analysis in which misclassified patients were excluded showed that mortality was significantly lower in the personalized ventilation group than in the control group. Lung ultrasound may be the ideal bedside imaging technique. The loss of pulmonary aeration and its variations induced by therapeutic maneuvers can be quantified by lung ultrasound. Lung ultrasound is a non-invasive, non-ionizing radiation method that can be easily used at the bedside. APRV ventilation coupled with spontaneous breathing activity prevents atelectasis formation, recruits less ventilated areas, prevents mechanical ventilation-induced lung injury and improves lung compliance. The hypothesis is that a "LUVS" ventilatory strategy composed of a bundle of measures all aiming at reopening the atelectatic pulmonary zones in focal ARDS (synergistic effect of spontaneous ventilation in APRV mode, early prone sessions, and adjustment of PEEP according to the patient's BMI), could decrease the number of days under mechanical ventilation, compared to protective ventilation with low tidal volume according to the current international recommendations
Metzker pigmentary disorders are frequent cause of consultation in pediatric dermatology. The investigators can describe 4 patterns. They must be differentiated from mosaicisms because they aren't associated with neurologic disorders and don't require any follow up.
This study will provide: (1) new insights in the prevalence of Aspergillus infection in children and adolescents with CF aged 8-17 yrs; (2) an in silico modelled dose of posaconazole for children and adolescents with CF and Aspergillus infection aged 8-17 yrs; (3) an intensive sampling PK study to define the optimal dose in a limited number of children and adolescents with CF and Aspergillus infection aged 8-17 yrs; (4) a prospective clinical validation to reduce the residual variability and to allow investigation into PK-PD; and (5) an efficacy evaluation of this dosing regimen to treat Aspergillus infection in children and adolescents with CF to inform future primary efficacy trials.
Infertility affects approximately 1 in 6 couples and may require the use of Medically Assisted Reproduction techniques. In France, there were more than 60,000 in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts in 2016. The burden of the IVF process is even more significant for working women, causing significant absenteeism due to medical appointments but also to the psychological discomfort caused by the management. Unfortunately, there are no studies that specifically address the quality of life of working women undergoing IVF. The cohort project aims to measure quality of life using validated questionnaires (FertiQoL, STAI Anxiety Scale and BDI Depression Inventory) in active patients who are scheduled for a first IVF attempt. Quality of life will be measured before starting treatment and at embryo transfer and will be followed up at each embryo transfer for a maximum period of 18 months. The follow-up will end after the live birth of a child or at the end of the 18 months of follow-up. The investigators will also evaluate, by means of a specific questionnaire, the satisfaction with the interactions between professional and private life (management and consequences of absenteeism at work, consequences on professional evolution, anxious repercussions in the professional and private domains) in the active women undergoing IVF treatment.
