There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The use of neuroimaging in the evaluation of neuromuscular pathologies is a promising and rapidly expandinf field. Among the different imaging techniques employed, nerve ultrasound is of particular interest given it's non invasivity, lack of side effects, accesibility and low cost. This exam provides complementary data to electroneuromyography (ENMG), enabeling the physician to visualise the morphological correspondents of electrophysiological abnormalities with a spatial resolution at least as good as MRI. Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuritis (CIDP), Multifocal Motor Neuropathy with Conduction Blocks (MMNBC), Lewis and Sumner syndrome (L-S syndrome) and anti-MAG antibody-associated neuropathies (anti-MAG) are among the main chronic inflammatory neuropathies of autoimmune etiology. The diagnosis of these diseases is based on clinical, paraclinical and ENMG examinations. Several recent studies have highlighted the valuable role of ultrasound not only in the diagnosis but also for follow up of patients afflicted by this group of diseases. However, the current ultrasound imaging techniques does not allow for a detailed study of the internal structure of the nerves. The developement of technologies with improved resolution contribute to further the knowledge in this innovative field and to better understand the pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for initiation and progression of inflammatory nerve disorders.In the Department of Ultrasound at the Nice University Hospital in France the team have at its disposal a high frequency untrasound that the team use to explore the peripheral nervous system. The scientific hypothesis of this pilot study rests on the premise that demyelinationg neuropathies are a heterogenous group where different types present with different morphological characteristics not only at the level of the nerve as a whole, but also at the level of the nerve fascicles and of the peri- and intra-neural vascular structures. In this respect, high frequency ultrasound allows us to visualise different segments of affected nerves and to obtain morphological details which the team then compare with existing ultrasound data in the literature (high frequency ultrasound: 10-20 MHz). Thanks to this non-invasive and painless technique, the nerve can be rapidly visualised along its entire length in static and dynamic mode. In addition, high frequency ultrasound will give us access to complementary data on the morphology of the soft tissues and the peri- and intra-neural vascular structures which may be useful in shedding light on the underlying pathophysiologycal processes. Another important aspect is the opportunity to make electromyographic and clinical correlations The main parameter The team will study in ultrasound will be hypertrophy, corresponding to an increase in the cross-sectional area of the nerve. the team will also conduct analysis on other less codified parameters, such as epineural and endoneural vascularisation (using the Doppler mode), as well as nerve fascicles anatomy (size, organisation). Identification of different characteristics may be of diagnostic interest in cases where the clinical, paraclinical and ENMG examinations do not allow us to make a diagnostic and therapeutic decision, but it can also prove useful in the follow-up of patients and response to treatment. This is a descriptive, pilot, mono-centric, multiparametric and retrospective analysis study on patients followed in our centre with a diagnosis of CIDP, NMMBC, L-S syndrom and anti-MAG
Interchromosomal insertions (IT) are rare and complex structural rearrangements. Theoretically, the risk to have a child to term with a malformation or mental retardation can reach 50% related to the proportion of unbalanced gametes produced from behavior of chromosomes during meiosis. However, the meiotic segregation of IT has rarely been studied. This study provide an accurate reproductive risk of IT carriers resulting from a combined analysis of Sperm-FISH and preimplantation genetic testing for structural rearrangement (PGT-SR) management of IT carriers.
Inter-observer reproductibility of visual estimation of left ventricular ejection fraction is known to be good in cardiology but has not been studied in ICU. The goal of the study is to determine if this reproductibility is good enough.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, several authors (Lee, 2020; Sahu, 2020; Zhai & Du, 2020) have highlighted the various challenges faced by university students, as well as their negative effects on their mental health. A deterioration in their mental health was observed, particularly during lockdown, with very high levels of anxiety and depressive symptoms (Essadek & Rabeyron, 2020; Husky et al., 2020; Le Vigouroux et al., 2021; Odriozola-González et al., 2020). In addition, COVID-19 has brought about a digital revolution in higher education (Strielkowski, 2020). However, distance learning was not without consequences on student stress (IAU, 2020). The detrimental effects of distance education, in terms of stress and anxiety, could also have important consequences for students' learning and academic success. Our research proposes to evaluate effects of an intervention focused on stress and learning on mental health and learning strategies. This intervention will be proposed to students from University of Nimes. Its primary objective is to prevent psychological health alterations and to improve students' learning strategies. Three groups will be constituted: a group that will participate in an online program (online group), a group will participate in a hybrid program, i.e. with online content and face-to-face support (hybrid group) and a group that will not be receiving any interventions (control group). The investigators plan to include between 150 and 200 university students, between 40 and 70 in each group. The levels of mental health and learning strategies of the two experimental group (online and hybrid group) will be compared to a control group with the realization of pre and post intervention measures. Sociodemographic (e.g., level education) and situational variables (e.g., diagnostic of COVID-19) will be considered in the analyses.
Preoperative vascular mapping with echo-Doppler is acknowledged as indispensable to create an arteriovenous fistula for haemodialysis (AVF). The conditions for performing this examination are not always ideal (venous vasospasm in cool temperatures, variability of the volume status in the dialysis patient). On the other hand, the use of a loco-regional anaesthesia (LRA) results in the vasodilation of the limb thus rendering it possible to use the veins which were initially considered too small. The aim of this study is to assess the functionality of our AVF when ultrasound identification was used by the surgeon after the LRA. These results have been compared with those of the preceding year during which this identification was not implemented.
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of belzutifan in combination with pembrolizumab and lenvatinib in multiple solid tumors including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), colorectal cancer (CRC), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), biliary tract cancer (BTC), endometrial cancer (EC),and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). There is no formal hypothesis testing in this study.

This is a multicenter, two-stage, randomized, controlled, open-label, Phase 3 study comparing the efficacy and safety of iberdomide in combination with dexamethasone and daratumumab (IberDd) versus daratumumab, bortezomib, and dexamethasone (DVd) in participants with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM).
The main purpose of this study is to measure how well imlunestrant works compared to standard hormone therapy, and how well imlunestrant with abemaciclib work compared to imlunestrant in participants with breast cancer that is estrogen receptor positive (ER+) and human epidermal receptor 2 negative (HER2-). Participants must have breast cancer that is advanced or has spread to another part of the body. Study participation could last up to 5 years.
