This registry is a clinical post-market evaluation of the Orsiro LESS in subjects requiring coronary revascularization with Drug Eluting Stents (DES).
The aim of our study is to evaluate the ultrasonic scissors (Harmonic Focus Ethicon Endo-Surgery Laboratory) as a device of hemostasis in thyroid surgery (total thyroidectomy) by cervicotomy, and to show a decrease in transient hypoparathyroidism compared to conventional techniques of haemostasis (clips, ligatures, and bipolar coagulation). Secondary objectives of the study are the evaluation of (i) recurrent nerve morbidity, (ii) postoperative bleeding, (iii) postoperative pain, (iv) cost of both techniques (microcosting), (v) the overall cost of the techniques at six months, (vi) a linking of costs and medical outcomes and (vii) an estimation of the potential impact of new technology on the organization of operating rooms (operating time).
An prospective / retrospective multicenter observational study whose objectives are to understand the interactions between hepatitis c virus and Non Hodgkin lymphomas. The characteristics , evolution and treatment of diseases will be observed from the study.
The ANCHOR registry is a multi-center, post-market, non-interventional, non-randomized, prospective study. Subjects must sign an ICF prior to obtaining any study specific information. Subjects are eligible to be consented up to 30 days post-procedure. Enrolled subjects will be followed as per local 'standard of care' for up to 5 years post procedure. Study recommended follow-up is per SVS and ESVS guidance.
The objective of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of the automatic atrioventricular (AV) delay and interventricular (VV) delay optimization algorithm used in the PARADYM RF SONR Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy with Defibrillation (CRT-D) device (Model 9770) in combination with the SonRtip Lead, which includes a SonR sensor in the tip of the atrial pacing lead, and compatible SmartView programming software. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of the automatic optimization algorithm in increasing the rate of patients responding to the therapy as compared to an echocardiographic optimization method. This study will also evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the SonRtip atrial pacing lead.
With the expansion of Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) primary prevention indications, the number of Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD) implants has increased significantly in the recent years. This has resulted in an increase of the number of follow-up (FU) to be performed and a growing workload for centers. Remote FU system such as the Medtronic Carelink system allows to check remotely the proper functioning of self evaluating devices and give informations of some clinical events. The objective of this study is to define which patients with a remote follow-up need additional onsite visit and to assess to which extent remote FU can be an alternative to onsite visit.
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) is still an incurable disease. However recent advances have established correlation between the quality of the response (in particular achievement of negativity of minimal residual disease (MRD) and progression free and overall survival. That is why MRD negative complete remission (CR) is the current goal in CLL treatment. The association of Rituximab fludarabine cyclophosphamide leads to the best response rate with 52 to 72% CR in "medically" fit untreated CLL patients. MRD results in this setting are still preliminary and around 50%. However many other situations (unfit, elderly, relapse, haematological toxicity leading to early interruption of treatment…) are associated with much lower response rate that would be improved by consolidation treatment. Monoclonal antibodies are the treatment of choice for consolidation because of sparing marrow and targeting CLL cells. Alemtuzumab has been used for this purpose and results confirm improvement of CR and MRD negative responses but alemtuzumab induced immunodeficiency lead to unacceptable infectious complications. Rituximab monotherapy induces low response rate at standard dose regimen. This is at least partially due to shaving of CD20, mechanism by which CD20 is lost from the leukemic cells but these cells are not cleared. Using low doses of rituximab reduced shaving and allowed CLL cells clearance by the mononuclear phagocytic system. Such low doses of rituximab can be administered subcutaneously. The investigators then propose subcutaneous low dose rituximab in consolidation to CLL patients responding after induction but having not achieved MRD negative CR.
There is currently no drug with pediatric marketing authorization capable of limiting the advance in bone maturation of children with aggressive adrenarche. Estrogens are the principal actors involved in bone maturation and premature epiphyseal fusion. Aromatase inhibitors, used for the treatment of hormone-dependent cancers, block the transformation of androgens into estrogens. Third generation inhibitors, of which Anastrozole is one, appear to be well tolerated in children and are sometimes used within the framework of clinical trials to limit bone maturation and improve prognosis with respect to final size, notably in children treated with growth hormone (GH) due to a GH deficit. Nevertheless, the data reported are based on small sample sizes and do not include children with pathological adrenarche.
Anesthesia is rarely used to intubate newborns in delivery room because of the very difficulty of accessing veins. The investigators hypothesized that intranasal administration of sedative would be an effective alternative. -Midazolam and Ketamine are two drugs used during neonates' intubation. They are also used intranasally in the absence of venous access-In a pilot study the investigators have demonstrated that sedation with Midazolam was effective in 67% of the patients. Efficiency was defined by a specific pain score: FANS < 4 (Faceless Acute Neonatal Pain Scale) and by an impedancemetric Pain monitor < 0.2 spike/s. The investigators hypothesized that intranasal ketamine would increase procedure effectiveness from 67 to 90%. - Main objective: To compare newborns sedation quality as they are sedated either by intranasal Midazolam or by intranasal Ketamine during intubation in delivery room. - Secondary Objectives: To compare intubation quality, hemodynamic and respiratory tolerance, and neurological outcomeat 2 years within the two groups.
The aim of the trial is to test whether adding 6 injections of rituximab to standard "Lymphome malin B" LMB chemotherapy regimen improves the Event Free Survival (EFS) compared with LMB chemotherapy alone in children / adolescents with advanced stage B-cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) / B-Acute Leukemia (B-AL)(stage III and LDH > Nx2, any stage IV or B-AL).
