Moderate Intensity Functional Training as Adjuvant Treatment in Patients With Peripheral Arterial Disease

Traditional aerobic training and muscle resistance ('strength') training have been shown to be effective for improving functional and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) outcomes in peripheral arterial disease (PAD). However, the transfer of the current resistance exercise modes proposed to other activities of daily living (ADLs) is questionable. Moderate intensity functional training (MIFT) has emerged with the aim of achieving cardiovascular and neuromuscular adaptations simultaneously with functional exercises typical of ADLs. The effect of MIFT in patients with PAD is not yet known. Our purpose is to verify the influence of the combination of intermittent treadmill walking exercise with MIFT compared with intermittent treadmill walking exercise on functional capacity, HRQoL, biochemical and hemodynamic parameters in patients with PAD.

Lower third molar extraction is one of the most common treatments in oral surgery practice. It is a treatment with inherent complications such as postoperative pain, swelling or trismus. In order to minimize disconfort after extraction, analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication is prescribed. Recently, it is seen that circadian rhythm may play an important role on drugs metabolism, modulating its effect depending on the moment of administration. The aim of the study is to analyze if dosage modification of a Non Steroideal Anti-Inflammatory (ibuprofen) affects on postoperative pain, swelling and open mouth limitation comparing to the normal dosage.

Scape Room With High Fidelity Simulators

The objective of the present study is assess the efficcacy in the acquisition of knowledge and practical skills of a scape room with high definition simulators. An experimental trial will be carried out in which the students of the intervention group will receive practical training on newborn care in the delivery room through the development of a scape room with high-fidelity simulators. The control group students will receive practical training only with the use of high-fidelity simulators. The participants of both groups will previously receive a theoretical training of 10 hours. Knowledge acquisition and student satisfaction with both methodologies will be analyzed.

Tunnel vs. CAF for the Treatment of Multiple Gingival Recessions

Many studies have compared the tunnel technique and coronally advanced flap in the treatment of single and multiple recessions. However, there is a lack of evidence that compared both techniques in combination with a connective tissue graft, for just multiple adjacent recessions. No technique is clearly superior to another in terms of complete root coverage (CRC), mean root coverage (MRC) and the gain of keratinized tissue height (KTH) when multiple recession coverage was evaluated. Moreover, as a connective tissue graft supposed to offer more stability in terms of complete root coverage in long-term basis, the main question should be aimed at the role of the sub-epithelial connective tissue graft, when it is used in combination with one technique or another. Hence, the hypothesis is focused on if the use of a connective tissue graft in combination with a tunnel technique would provide higher clinical outcomes and similar patient-based outcomes than its use in combination with the Coronally Advanced flap technique.

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the incidence of post-COVID morbidity and characterize the complications profile in patients who participated in the APLICOV-PC study. APLICOV-PC study was a multicenter, randomized, proof-of-concept clinical trial to assess the safety profile of 3 different dose levels of plitidepsin (1,5 mg, 2,0 mg and 2,5 mg) administered three consecutive days, in adult patients with confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 who require hospital admission.
