NCT ID: NCT06108583 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Evaluation of the Effect of a Psychological Program for Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder and Feeding Difficulties

Start date: January 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Feeding difficulties are frequent in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The main goal of this project was to develop TEAlimento, a behavioral program for children ages 3-8 with ASD and feeding difficulties. The intervention combines parent training in group and individual sessions, as well as group sessions with children. The second goal was to conduct a pilot study to evaluate the effect of the program. It was hypothesized that the intervention would decrease food rejection and disruptive behavior during meals, as well as increase the number of foods tried. A decrease in parent stress was also expected.

NCT ID: NCT06108323 Active, not recruiting - Smokers Clinical Trials

Immediate Effects of Mental Practice and Therapeutic Exercise in Mild Smokers

Start date: October 27, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the effects who would add mental practice based on action observation to a therapeutic exercise program in young mild smokers. The main question it aims to answer is whether the observation of actions prior to the implementation of a therapeutic exercise session improves the response to it on respiratory, strength and muscle function variables. Participants will be assigned to one of 2 study groups: G1) Therapeutic exercise plus action observation training (n=20) G2) Therapeutic exercise plus sham action observation training (n=20)

NCT ID: NCT06108271 Active, not recruiting - Cough Clinical Trials

Innovative Endotracheal Tube Design Reduces Postoperative Laryngeal Injury

Triglotix®
Start date: October 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to compare two different orotracheal tubes in patients which require orotracheal intubation for general anesthesia. The main questions it aims to answer are: - To assess the presence of laryngeal injury - To evaluate the consequences in voice quality - To ask for the presence of symptoms as sore throat, hoarseness, and cough Participants will be randomly assigned into two groups, one will use conventional endotracheal tube and the other will use Triglotix® endotracheal tube.

NCT ID: NCT06108180 Completed - Clinical trials for Tension-Type Headache

Effectiveness of the Dry Needling Approach in Patients With Tension-Type Headache

Start date: October 23, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Randomized Single-Blind Clinical Trial in which the treatment will be administered through 3 sessions of dry needling in the cervical, cranial, and facial musculature in patients with frequent and chronic tension-type headache.

NCT ID: NCT06107426 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Parkinson's Disease (PD)

Real-World Study of ABBV-951 Subcutaneous Infusion to Assess Change in Disease Activity in Adult Participants With Parkinson's Disease

ROSSINI
Start date: January 24, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurological condition, which affects the brain. PD gets worse over time, but how quickly it progresses varies a lot from person to person. Some symptoms of PD are tremors, stiffness, and slowness of movement. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how effective ABBV-951 is in treating adult participants with advanced PD in real world setting. ABBV-951 (foslevodopa/foscarbidopa) is an approved drug for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease. Approximately 450 adult participants with PD (300 participants new to ABBV-951, up to 150 participants transitioning from open-label extension study) will be enrolled across approximately 60 sites. Decision to treat with ABBV-951 (or continue the treatment in Cohort B) will be made by the doctor prior to any decision to approach the participant to participate in this study. All participants will receive subcutaneous infusion of ABBV-951 for approximately 3 years. Participants will attend regular clinic visits during the course of the study. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, and completing questionnaires.

NCT ID: NCT06107010 Recruiting - Stroke, Acute Clinical Trials

Effects of Atalante Exoskeleton on Gait Recovery in Non- or Poorly Ambulatory Patients With Hemiparesis in the Acute/Subacute Phase (Month 1 to 4)

EarlyExo
Start date: June 12, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The present clinical investigation - EarlyExo, is an interventional, international, multicentric, prospective, single-blinded randomized controlled trial. This clinical investigation is designed to test the hypothesis that early and intense introduction of walking sessions assisted by the Atalante exoskeleton, in a sample of hemiparetic patients with still non or poor ambulatory capacities (FAC 0 or 1) between one- and four-months post stroke, would result in a better recovery of functional walking compared to a control group only receiving conventional therapy. Improved recovery will be measured through the proportion of patients reaching a FAC score of 4 or higher at the end of the intervention period. The tested hypothesis is that this proportion will be higher in the Exo group. The duration of the intervention period in both groups is 6 weeks. - For the Exo group: 3 sessions per week (i.e., 18 one-hour sessions) with the Atalante device and 2 sessions per week (i.e., 12 one-hour sessions) of conventional therapy. - For the Control group: 5 sessions per week of conventional therapy (i.e., 30 one-hour sessions). The study will include 66 patients (33 in each arm) and takes place in two French centers, two German centers and one Spanish center.

Efficacy of Oocyte Activation With Two Types of Ca2+ Ionophore.

Calcifer
Start date: January 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a prospective ranzomized analysis including 372 human oocytes from 44 women. Non treated oocytes will serve as control. Oocyte fertilization rates, embryo development and embryo quality will be analyzed. Obstetrics variables of offspring will be also followed and compared.

NCT ID: NCT06105697 Active, not recruiting - Aerobic Exercise Clinical Trials

Effects of Aerobic Blood Flow Restriction

Start date: October 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim is to evaluate the effects of aerobic blood flow restriction on academy football players. Randomized clinical trial, with two intervention groups: Experimental group I will carry out training based on running on the treadmill using blood flow restriction (BFR) on match days 4 and 3 pre-competition (MD-4, MD-3). On the other hand, the Experimental II group will perform the same training without the use of BFR for 6 weeks. The study will be carried out during the 2023-2024 season in the National and Youth Honor Divisions of Spanish soccer, with soccer teams from Mallorca Island. Before and after 6 weeks of intervention, the countermovement jump (CMJ), maximum aerobic speed (MAS), VO2max, and repeat sprint ability will be evaluated. The levels of muscle soreness (DOMS) will be evaluated at MD-4, MD-3, and MD-2. The same procedure will be carried out to evaluate muscle fatigue, sleep quality, and stress through a questionnaire. Sociodemographic and anthropometric data will be collected before starting the study. In addition, the rate of exertion perceived will be evaluated at MD-4, MD-3, and MD-2.
