The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the visual performance of a new multifocal intra-ocular lens in patients presenting for cataract or refractive lens exchange surgery. The main question it aims to answer is: What is the visual performance and patient satisfaction twelve months post-operatively? Participants will receive bilateral implantation of the investigational device, undergo post-operative assessments, and provide feedback on their overall visual satisfaction.

The thromboembolic disease is a common complication of patients admitted to conventional hospitalization units. To prevent such complications, thromboprophylaxis is indicated in high-risk patients identified with validated risk-assessment models such as Padua score and IMPROVE-VTE score. However, the relation between thromboembolic disease and inpatients is yet to be demonstrated in new clinical settings such as at home hospitalization units. Moreover, patient immobilization is key in the pathogenesis of thromboembolic complications: therefore, it is crucial to collect raw data of patient mobility during admission. The goal of this observational study is to compare the thromboembolic risk of patients admitted with acute medical diseases to at home hospitalization units with conventional hospitalization units. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is the estimated thromboembolic risk of patients admitted with acute medical diseases to at home hospitalization units similar to those admitted to conventional hospitalization units? - Are the risk-assessment models used to predict thromboembolic risk of patients admitted with acute medical diseases to conventional hospitalization units (Padua and IMPROVE-VTE score) valid in at home hospitalization patients? Participants admitted with acute medical diseases to either a conventional hospitalization unit or at home hospitalization units will be included in a prospective registry in order to investigate the 90 days incidence of thromboembolic disease. A cohort of such patients will be controlled with triaxial accelerometer in order to collect raw data regarding patient mobility during admission.

Implants have become a popular and widely used treatment option for treating partial and total edentulism. As the number of implants placed increases, so does the incidence of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Placing patients under SPT/maintenance care has been shown to prevent and treat such conditions. Despite SPT's importance in prevention and infection control, adherence to scheduled SPT visits have been unsatisfactory. Understanding the reasons for non-compliance can help both the clinician and research community to address them by improving patients experience to those visits thereby increasing compliance.
The investigators propose a prospective diagnostic validity study in which the correct location of the central venous catheter will be verified by ultrasound and then verified by radiography in the same patient, without modifying the usual clinical practice criteria.
Investigation of the efficacy of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for the psychological treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common cancer worldwide and a leading cause of cancer-related death. The majority of participants first presenting with HCC have advanced unresectable or metastatic disease. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the optimized dose, adverse events, and efficacy of livmoniplimab in combination with budigalimab. Livmoniplimab is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of HCC. There are 2 stages to this study. In Stage 1, there are 3 treatment arms and participants will be randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio. Participants will either receive livmoniplimab (at different doses) in combination with budigalimab (another investigational drug), atezolizumab in combination with bevacizumab, or tremelimumab in combination with durvalumab. In Stage 2, there are 2 treatments arms and participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio. Participants will either receive livmoniplimab (optimized dose) in combination with budigalimab or tremelimumab in combination with durvalumab. Approximately 660 adult participants will be enrolled in the study across 185 sites worldwide. Stage 1: In arm 1, participants will receive intravenously (IV) infused livmoniplimab (Dose 1) in combination with IV infused budigalimab, every 3 weeks. In arm 2, participants will receive IV infused livmoniplimab (Dose 2) in combination with IV infused budigalimab, every 3 weeks. In Arm 3 (control), participants will receive the investigator's choice: IV atezolizumab in combination with IV bevacizumab every 3 weeks or single dose IV tremelimumab in combination with IV durvalumab every 4 weeks. Stage 2: In arm 1, participants will receive IV infused livmoniplimab (optimized dose) in combination with IV infused budigalimab, every 3 weeks. In Arm 2 (control), participants will receive single dose IV tremelimumab in combination with IV durvalumab every 4 weeks. All participants will continue treatment until disease progression or discontinuation criteria are met, whichever occurs first. The estimated duration of this study is about 56 months. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic and may require frequent medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires, and scans.
This is a experimental, randomised, parallel-group, clinical study. A sample of university students will be divided into 4 groups, where one of them will act as a control group (no intervention), and the other three will undergo hand training with two different types of functional electrical stimulation devices and a final group will receive hand training with video games. Inter-group analyses will be performed before the start of the training (pre-intervention), after the end of the programme (post-intervention), and three weeks after the end of the programme (follow-up assessment). Intra-group analyses will also be carried out to check whether the training has led to an improvement in the quality of motor imagination, as well as an improvement in manual dexterity in each of the groups. In order to carry out the project, a collaboration agreement will be signed with the company FESIA TECHNOLOGY S.L, which will provide a FESIA GRASP device for the study, as well as the consumables (electrodes).
