The primary objectives of this study are to compare sacituzumab tirumotecan to Treatment of Physician's Choice (TPC) with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) per response evaluation criteria in solid tumors (RECIST 1.1), as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR), and overall survival (OS). The primary hypotheses are that sacituzumab tirumotecan is superior to TPC with respect to PFS per RECIST 1.1, as assessed by BICR, and that sacituzumab tirumotecan is superior to TPC with respect to OS.
The goal os this clinical trial is to develop and validate a gamified, fully immersive, and stroke-specific virtual reality software to improve physical disability and quality of life in patients with stroke. The main questions it aims to answer are: - To assess the effects of a gamified, fully immersive and stroke-specific virtual reality 10-week intervention combined with usual care rehabilitation, compared to usual care rehabilitation alone and in combination with a commercially available VR system, on disability in patients with stroke. - To assess the effects of a gamified, fully immersive and stroke-specific virtual reality intervention combined with usual care rehabilitation, compared to usual care rehabilitation alone and in combination with a commercially available virtual reality system, on quality of life, upper-body motor function, gross manual dexterity, handgrip strength, static and dynamic balance, and cognitive function in patients with stroke
This study is open to adults aged 18 and older or above legal age who have a specific type of advanced neuroendocrine cancer (NEC). Their tumours must be positive for a marker called DLL3. The purpose of this study is to test a medicine called BI 764532 in addition to chemotherapy. The study has 2 parts. Part A of this study aims to find out the highest dose of BI 764532 that people can tolerate in addition to chemotherapy. The purpose of Part B is to find out how well people can tolerate BI 764532 in combination with different chemotherapies. Researchers also want to find out whether BI 764532 in combination with chemotherapy helps people with NEC. Participants get different doses of BI 764532 as an infusion into a vein. In addition, they get platinum-based chemotherapy as infusions into a vein. Participants can continue treatment up to 3 years if they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it. Participants visit their doctors regularly. During these visits, the doctors collect information about participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. Doctors also regularly check the size of the tumour.
Implantoplasty entails polishing of the implant surface during the surgical therapy of peri-implantitis. Given the controversy behind implantoplasty as surface decontamination method in the treatment of peri-implantitis, the goal of this clinical trial is to assess the clinical resolution and radiographic bone gain in peri-implantitis sites treated by means of reconstructive therapy (Inteross® + autogenous bone, Sigmagraft, CA, USA) + implantoplasty in combined defects when compared to the extent of implantoplasty along the exposed implant surface upon the clinical resolution and radiographic bone gain in peri-implantitis sites treated by means of reconstructive therapy (Inteross® + autogenous bone, Sigmagraft, CA, USA).
This study will look if CagriSema can lower kidney damage in people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), type 2 diabetes (T2D) and overweight or obesity. CagriSema is a new investigational medicine. CagriSema cannot yet be prescribed by doctors. The study will compare CagriSema to the 2 medicines semaglutide and cagrilintide, when they are taken alone. It will also compare CagriSema to a "dummy" medicine (also called placebo) without any active ingredient. Participant will either get CagriSema 2.4 mg, semaglutide 2.4 mg, cagrilintide 2.4 mg or placebo. Which treatment participant will get is decided by chance (like flipping a coin). Study doctor will not know which of the study medicines participant will get. For each participant, the study will last for about 35 weeks.
The aim of this paper is twofold: on the one hand, to test the effectiveness of a structured emotional education program in second, third and fourth grade primary school students and, on the other hand, to test the differential effect of such a program in relation to an incidental tutorial action focused on the ordinary school curriculum. A randomized controlled trial is proposed in Lauro Ikastola with three experimental groups (second, third and fourth of primary education) and three active control groups (one for each of the three courses) with pretest and posttest and with the duration of a school year.
Rhythmic physical exercise is a very promising non-pharmaceutical tool to prevent or reduce cognitive decline that occurs in people sixty years of age or older. The main objective is to determine the effect of a rhythmic exercise program on the physical, mental and cognitive performance of older adults with cognitive impairment. The main variables of the study will be: global cognitive function evaluated by the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA); attention and executive functions evaluated using the Trail Making Test (TMT) part A and B. As secondary variables, the functional abilities evaluated using the Senior Fitness Test (SFT) will be taken into account. Additionally, sociodemographic variables and variables related to health status will be evaluated. These will take into account the quality of sleep evaluated with the Pittsburgh index, the nutritional status evaluated using the Mini Nutritional Assessment-Short Form (MNA-SF) scale, and the Stress and anxiety levels will be assessed using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales-21 (DASS-21). All variables will be evaluated before the intervention and after it. After the intervention, it is expected that the exercise program will improve the neurocognitive performance, as well as the functional and psychological abilities of older adults.
Objectives: The objectives of this study are to describe the prevalence of respiratory sarcopenia in institutionalized older adults. Methodology: A sample of approximately 120 older adults from 5 residences located in Murcia capital will participate in the study. A prospective observational study will be carried out, with one year of follow-up, with patients who have been diagnosed with respiratory sarcopenia. Sociodemographic and clinical variables, physical function (palm grip, 5STS, 4MGS), respiratory force variables (MIP and PEF) and diaphragmatic ultrasound (thickness, shortening fraction and diaphragmatic excursion) will be measured. Descriptive statistics, univariate and multivariate logistic regression models, Cox proportional hazards model and KaplanMeier curves will be used to analyze the data from the longitudinal study.
This is a first time in human (FTiH) Phase I/IIa, open-label, multi-centre study of AZD3470 in participants with advanced or metastatic solid tumours with MTAP deficiency. The study consists of several study modules, evaluating the safety, tolerability, PK, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy of AZD3470 as monotherapy or in combination with other anti-cancer agents.
This study will examine how intravenous (i.v.) Secukinumab will be processed in the body (pharmacokinetics [PK]) and whether it will be safe and tolerable after multiple doses of i.v. Secukinumab infusion in adult patients with giant cell arteritis (GCA) or polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR).
