NCT ID: NCT01923610 Completed - HIV Infections Clinical Trials

Safety and Immunological Response of a Boosting Dose of MVA-B in Healthy Volunteers After 4 Years of Receiving MVA-B

Start date: September 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

24 healthy male and female volunteers who are at low risk of HIV infection and entered into the RISVAC02 study and were randomly allocated to receive 3 intramuscular injections of MVA-B at weeks 0, 4 and 16 will receive a boosting dose 4 years thereafter. Participants will attend one of two clinical centres on at least 5 occasions over 16 weeks. These visits will comprise: - Screening - Trial entry and boosting immunisation - Early follow-up after immunisation - Follow-up x 2 including the final visit Participants will have blood and urine collected, and receive 1 immunisation. They will be counselled prior to and following a HIV test, and given health education on prevention of sexually transmitted infections including HIV. T The two centres which participate are: - Hospital Clinic, Barcelona and - Hospital Gregorio Marañón, Madrid The primary objective is to explore the safety and immunogenicity of MVA-B.

This trial is conducted globally. The aim of the trial is to examine the dose range, escalation and efficacy of oral semaglutide in subjects with type 2 diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT01923168 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Letrozole With or Without BYL719 or Buparlisib, for the Neoadjuvant Treatment of Postmenopausal Women

Start date: March 11, 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study was to determine whether treatment with a PI3K inhibitor plus letrozole led to an increase in pathologic clinical response and Objective Response Rate compared to treatment with placebo plus letrozole in patients with Breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01922726 Completed - Bradycardia Clinical Trials

Registry of Sleep Apnea Monitoring and Atrial Fibrillation in Pacemaker Patients (RESPIRE)

Start date: July 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the study is to evaluate at 12 Months follow-up the association between Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Sleep Apnea (SA) severity based on data measured and stored in REPLY 200 DR pacemaker.

NCT ID: NCT01922089 Completed - Clinical trials for Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction

Safety and Tolerability of Initiating LCZ696 in Heart Failure Patients

TITRATION
Start date: November 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of initiating LCZ696 in heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction (HF-rEF) using conservative (reaching target dose over 6 weeks) and condensed (reaching target dose over 3 weeks) up-titration regimens.

NCT ID: NCT01921231 Completed - Clinical trials for Knee Arthroscopy (for Diagnostic or Therapy)

Selective Subarachnoid Anesthesia. Comparison of Hyperbaric Bupivacaine and Hyperbaric Prilocaine

BUPIPRILO-07
Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Selective spinal anesthesia is widely used for ambulatory surgery. Unilateral spinal anesthesia is a suitable option for ambulatory anesthesia as it is efficient and effective. Lidocaine has been the well-known choice for this procedure. However, it is associated to transient neurologic symptoms (TNS). Different anesthetic strategies for this procedure have been performed, for example, the use of small doses of long-acting agents and the use of additives such as opioids. The ideal local anesthetic should be lidocaine-like without risk of transient neurologic symptoms. We design and plan a randomised clinical trial to show if hyperbaric prilocaine 2% would be an alternative.

NCT ID: NCT01920893 Completed - Nasal Polyps Clinical Trials

An Evaluation of Dupilumab in Patients With Nasal Polyposis And Chronic Symptoms Of Sinusitis

Start date: August 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of dupilumab (SAR231893 / REGN668) in the treatment of bilateral Nasal Polyposis (NP) by assessment of the endoscopic nasal polyp score in comparison to placebo. Secondary Objectives: To evaluate effect of dupilumab with regards to: - symptoms of sinusitis - sinus Computed Tomography (CT) scan - nasal polyp score in the sub-group of patients with co-morbid asthma - Safety and tolerability

NCT ID: NCT01920711 Completed - Clinical trials for Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction

Efficacy and Safety of LCZ696 Compared to Valsartan, on Morbidity and Mortality in Heart Failure Patients With Preserved Ejection Fraction

PARAGON-HF
Start date: July 18, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of LCZ696 compared to valsartan in the reduction of cardiovascular death and heart failure(HF) hospitalizations in patients with HF with preserved ejection fraction.

NCT ID: NCT01920061 Completed - Neoplasm Clinical Trials

A Study Of PF-05212384 In Combination With Other Anti-Tumor Agents and in Combination With Cisplatin in Patients With Triple Negative Breast Cancer in an Expansion Arm (TNBC)

Start date: September 10, 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate PF-05212384 (gedatolisib) PI3K/mTOR inhibitor)) in combination with either docetaxel, cisplatin or dacomitinib in select advanced solid tumors. The study will assess the safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of these combinations in patients with advanced cancer in order to determine the maximum tolerated dose in each combination. The cisplatin combination expansion portion will evaluate the anti tumor activity of PF 05212384 plus cisplatin in patients with TNBC in 2 separate Arms (Arm 1 and Arm 2).
