NCT ID: NCT04484376 Completed - Clinical trials for Fungal Invasive Disease

Predictive Factors of Mortality in Invasive Fungal Disease in Post-surgical Critical Care Unit

FPR-IIS
Start date: May 1, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Invasive fungal disease in the critically ill patient is a serious complication that increases hospitalization times, morbidity and mortality, and healthcare costs. Our team proposes a retrospective observational study of patients from the resuscitation unit of the Hospital la Fe who during the years 2016-2019 presented invasive candidiasis. The investigators intend to detect if there are possible specific risk factors that favor the development of invasive candidiasis in colonized patients and if these associated risk factors could be considered as 'triggers' or alerts for the implementation of specific care in these patients. To do this, the investigators intend to study the blood samples taken from patients, taking into account different types of perioperative variables from them, which will be statistically analyzed, so that evidence-based inferences can be drawn to demonstrate our hypothesis.

NCT ID: NCT04483505 Completed - Clinical trials for Breast Cancer Metastatic

Rogaratinib, Palbociclib y Fulvestrant in Patients With Breast Cancer.

ROGABREAST
Start date: November 25, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is an open, multicenter, prospective phase I dose escalation clinical trial followed by an expansion cohort. The aim of this study is to asses the Recommended Phase 2 Dose (R2PD) and the safety profile, among other efficacy, in FGFR1/2/3 positive, hormone receptor-positive breast cancer (HRPBC) patients with metastatic disease after progression to the combination of an aromatase inhibitor plus palbociclib, abemaciclib or ribociclib, according RECIST 1.1 criteria.

NCT ID: NCT04483180 Completed - Clinical trials for Overweight and Obesity

Work Package 2 Phase 1 - Beverages Study

SWEET-WP2-P1
Start date: August 14, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Within the SWEET project (EU funded), in Work Package 2 there are two phases, this study refers to Phase 1 of the SWEET WP2 project, which will be a coordinated trial across 3 intervention centres, University of Navarra (UNAV), University of Liverpool (ULIV) and University of Copenhagen (UCPH). It will involve an acute intervention in 120 individuals to explore initial acceptance, safety and post-prandial effects of 3 S&SE blends delivered in beverage format. The main endpoints of the SWEET WP2 Phase 1 study will be glycaemic and lipaemic responses; eating behavior (subjective appetite, food preference, cravings, reward), and health effects (rebound hunger, G.I. side effects and metabolic effects). This phase will be exploratory and will not involve any specific primary hypotheses.

NCT ID: NCT04483128 Completed - Chronic Pain Clinical Trials

Electrical Stimulation With Interferential Current in the Non-especific Chronic Low Back Pain: Effects on the Autonomic Nervous System.

Start date: June 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study it's to analyze the relationship between autonomic nervous system balance (ANSb) and chronic pain conditions, especially in this case, non-especific chronic low back pain (CLBP). Most of physiotherapy approaches focus only in biomechanical aspects, leaving aside what kind of factors could perpetuate CLBP. Since 1985, ANSb was studied due to its potential contribution to chronic pain. Electrical stimulation, through interferential currents (IFC), it's a safe and well-known therapy used in CLBP with good outcomes regarding pain relief. The main objective of this study it's to quantify the association between CLBP and ANSb alterations. In second place, the research team aims to record the influence of IFC over pain and ANSb in those subjects.

NCT ID: NCT04482816 Completed - Clinical trials for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation

NCT ID: NCT04480463 Completed - Clinical trials for Neovascular Age-related Macular Degeneration

A Study to Comparing SCD411 and Eylea® in Subjects With Wet Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

Start date: August 13, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a leading cause of vision loss in adults. Abnormal blood vessels grow under the macula at the back of the eye, and also leak blood and fluid, which damages and scars the macula, affecting vision. The current standard of care for patients with neovascular (exudative / wet) AMD is anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) therapy, which prevents or slows down the growth of the abnormal blood vessels. SCD411 is being developed as a biosimilar to the reference product Eylea® (aflibercept), an anti-VEGF drug. The study aims to prove equivalence of SCD411 to Eylea in adults with wet AMD, and will look at safety, tolerance, effectiveness, immune response and the movement of the drug through the body.
