NCT ID: NCT05902468 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Ursodeoxycholic Acid as add-on Therapy in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: June 28, 2023
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a complex metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia and abnormalities in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism. It is one of the most prevalent metabolic disorders globally. Despite the advancement in anti-diabetic drug therapy, most patients fail to achieve optimal glycemic control. therefore, there is a large unmet need to develop new strategies to improve the therapeutic outcomes in diabetic patients. This study is designed to evaluate the efficacy of ursodeoxycholic acid as adjunctive therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

NCT ID: NCT05901857 Recruiting - Age Problem Clinical Trials

Assessing the Precision of Convolutional Neural Networks for Dental Age Estimation From Panoramic Radiographs

Start date: June 30, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to assess the accuracy of a convolutional neural network in dental age estimation from digital panoramic radiographs. The reference standard will be the chronological age of the patient.

NCT ID: NCT05900713 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Essential Hypertension

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of adding lactoferrin to the every-other-day oral iron supplementation in iron deficiency anemia and chronic kidney disease patients.

NCT ID: NCT05900232 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Anti KU Antibodies and Its Relationship With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Start date: May 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

systemic lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a multi system autoimmune disorder abroad spectrum of clinical presentations. Diagnosis of SLE depending on Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) Criteria. SLICC Criteria requires either that a patient satisfy at least 4 of 17 Criteria including at least 1 of 11 clinical criteria and 1 of 6 immunological criteria or the patient has biopsy -proven nephritis compatible with SLE in the presence of antinuclear antibodies (ANA)or anti_double stranded DNA (dsDNA) antibodies. Anti_KU antibodies included in (ANA), reported in many autoimmune disorders like SLE,Sjogren syndrome, idiopathic lung fibrosis and myositis. So the aim of the work is to determine the relationship between Anti_KU antibodies and SLE manifestations.

NCT ID: NCT05899712 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Denture, Partial, Removable

Digital Versus Conventional Altered Cast Techniques For Constructing Mandibular Distal Extension Removable Partial Dentures Using Digitally Fabricated Frameworks: Alveolar Bone Height Changes

Start date: May 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical study compares between digital and conventional removable partial dentures' construction techniques using digitally approaches regarding their effect on bone height changes of abutment teeth and residual ridge.

NCT ID: NCT05898958 Recruiting - Fracture Rib Clinical Trials

Rhomboid Intercostal and Sub-Serratus Block for Improving Pulmonary Function and Pain in Patients With Fracture Ribs

Start date: October 20, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Rib fractures are seen in more than 50% of patient spresenting with blunt chest trauma and are associated with significant morbidity, long-term disability and mortality . Many of these adverse consequences are a result ofinadequately controlled pain which hinders respiration, leading to atelectasis, pneumonia and respiratory failure . The early provision of adequate analgesia is thereforeparamount in the management of these patients. The cornerstones of analgesic management are oral andintravenous medications such as paracetamol, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatorydrugs(NSAIDs) and opioids. Nevertheless, in patients with more significant injuries orcomorbidities, interventional procedures are often neededto provide adequate analgesia and avoid opioid-relatedadverse effects .

NCT ID: NCT05898724 Recruiting - Diet, Healthy Clinical Trials

Assessment of the Rate of Oseointegration Surrounding Nano-coated Orthodontic Titanium Miniscrew

Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The current study was directed to evaluate rate of oseointegration surrounding nano-coated orthodontic titanium miniscrew. The current study will conduct on eighteen Egyptian males orthodontic patients for three months. Study Groups: A- Blank group: include six orthodontic patients, which have a surgical procedure to install two orthodontic titanium miniscrews in the two lateral parts of the maxilla , so this group will include 12 installed orthodontic titanium miniscrews. B- Silver hydroxyapatite group: include six orthodontic patients, which have a surgical procedure to install two silver hydroxyapatite nano-coated orthodontic titanium miniscrews in the two lateral parts of the maxilla, so this group will include 12 installed silver hydroxyapatite nano-coated orthodontic titanium miniscrews. C- Zinc oxide group: include six orthodontic patients, which have a surgical procedure to install two zinc oxide nano-coated orthodontic titanium miniscrews in the two lateral parts of the maxilla, so this group will include 12 installed zinc oxide nano-coated orthodontic titanium miniscrews.

NCT ID: NCT05898061 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pain, During Injection of Propofol for Induction of Anesthesia

Optimal Lidocaine Propofol Mixture for Painless Induction of Anesthesia

Start date: March 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This research will be carried out in order to determine the optimal lidocaine dose in propofol lidocaine mixture to prevent pain on propofol injection during induction of general anesthesia using a modified Dixon's up-and-down method. Patients & methods: Include assessment of severity of pain on propofol injection using seven doses of lidocaine in lidocaine propofol mixture in ASA I&II patients aged 18-60 years with exclusion of patients with history of drug allergy, hepatic or renal impairment, cardiac problems, neurologic deficits or psychiatric disorders. The primary outcome will be pain scale during injection and volume of propofol-lidocaine mixture used. Secondary outcome will be increase in heart rate and/or hand or forearm withdrawal during injection, patient satisfaction, demographic data, type and duration of surgery, Time for unconsciousness. Aim of the work: To determine the Minimal effective dose of lidocaine in propofol lidocaine mixture to achieve painless induction of anesthesia using propofol.
