NCT ID: NCT06220513 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Laparoscopic Appendectomy

Erector Spinae Plane Block Versus TAP Block for Postoperative Analgesia of Laparoscopic Appendectomy

Start date: January 29, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Laparoscopic appendectomy is the most frequently performed surgery in patients who develop acute appendicitis. This surgical technique is more advantageous than an open appendectomy in terms of fewer complications, less postoperative pain, and a faster return to normal daily activities. Even though the laparoscopic technique is minimally invasive, postoperative pain is inevitable. Furthermore, it may affect the patients' mobility and cause them to stay in the hospital for a more extended period .The study aimed to compare the effectiveness and the safety of ultrasound-guided erector spinae plane block versus ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane block (TAP) as postoperative analgesia methods after laparoscopic appendectomy.

NCT ID: NCT06219837 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Postoperative Analgesia of Inguinal Hernia Repair in Adults

Subarachnoid Block Versus Ultrasound Guided Transversalis Fascia Plane Block for Postoperative Analgesia of Inguinal Hernia Repair in Adults

Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of our study is to investigate the effect of the ultrasound guided transversalis fascia plane block on the postoperative opioid consumption as a part of multimodal analgesia in patients undergoing inguinal herniorrhaphy under spinal anesthesia.

NCT ID: NCT06219772 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Idiopathic Scoliosis

Assessment of Dynamic Balance in Idiopathic Scoliosis Compared to Normal Subjects

Start date: February 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to assess dynamic balance in females with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis compared to normal subjects.

NCT ID: NCT06219590 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Acetylcholine Iontophoresis As A New Challenge With Type 2 Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: A Possible New Therapy

Start date: October 28, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators initial study opened the way for randomized trials that monitor the effects of acetylcholine (Ach) iontophoresis vasodilators on endothelial nitric oxide synthetase (NOS) to develop a transdermal treatment that is effective, free from systemic adverse effects.

NCT ID: NCT06217445 Recruiting - OBESITY Clinical Trials

Effect of HIFU on Sleep Quality Measures in Obese Doubled Chin Women

Start date: January 6, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will be conducted to demonstrate any effect of high intensity focused ultrasound on sleep quality measures in obese doubled chin women.

NCT ID: NCT06216288 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Lumbosacral Radiculopathy

Effect of Combined Lumbar Traction and Repetitive Back Extension Exercise on H-reflex in Lumbosacral Radiculopathy

Start date: January 20, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of performing combined lumbar traction and repeated back extension exercise (McKenzie) on soleus H-reflex, pain, and disability in patients with lumbosacral radiculopathy. The main question that it aims to answer is: Does the combination of lumbar traction and back extension exercise (McKenzie) improves soleus H-reflex, pain, and function in patient with lumbosacral radiculopathy? participants will be randomized into 2 groups: one group will include repeated back extension exercise (McKenzie Approach) without mechanical traction and the other group will include the same but in combination with mechanical traction.

NCT ID: NCT06215976 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Muscle-Invasive Bladder Carcinoma

The Nephroprotective Effect of Metformin With Cisplatin in Bladder Cancer

Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the protective effect of metformin on nephrotoxicity of cisplatin in patients with bladder cancer. The main questions it aims to answer are: - To determine protective effect of metformin on structural and functional kidney injury caused by cisplatin in patients with bladder cancer. - To evaluate the safety of combining cisplatin and metformin on patients with bladder cancer

NCT ID: NCT06214286 Recruiting - Physiopathology Clinical Trials

Adding Shock Wave Therapy to Kinesio Taping Improves Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in Physical Therapist Females.

Start date: March 20, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

PURPOSE: To investigate the effect of adding Shock wave therapy to kinesio taping on relieving carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms in physical therapist females. BACKGROUND: shockwave therapy is a popular non-invasive therapeutic modality in the medical field for the treatment of numerous musculoskeletal disorders. Shockwaves can generate interstitial and extracellular responses, producing many beneficial effects such as: pain relief, vascularization, protein biosynthesis, cell proliferation, neuro and chondroprotection, and destruction of calcium deposits in musculoskeletal structures. shockwave combined with conventional physiotherapy is an effective noninvasive treatment for mild-to-moderate carpal tunnel syndrome that produces greater and longer-lasting results than conventional physiotherapy alone HYPOTHESES: Adding Shock wave therapy to kinesio taping has positive effects on carpal tunnel syndrome in physical therapist females. RESEARCH QUESTION: Does adding Shock wave therapy to kinesio taping has positive effects on carpal tunnel syndrome in physical therapist females?
