The good standard antibiotic prophylaxis pre elective C S is cefazolin and this study will approve addition of azithromycin to cefazolin will reduce post CS infections more than cefazolin only.
This is prospective, randomized study comparing VATS (video- Assisted Thoracoscopy) to reinsertion of a thoracostomy tube in patients with persistent traumatic haemothorax. The incidence varies and can be as high as 20%, but in most studies is found to be 1-4% after initial tube thoracostomy for chest trauma. The most accepted complication of retained hemothorax is empyema.Retained hemothorax treatment started by physiotherapy and early withdrawal of tube thoracostomy which lead to more complications as empyema, fibro thorax/entrapped lung, flail chest and diaphragmatic hernia. Early VATS is an alternative treatment for retained hemothorax with evidence that it is a superior intervention when compared to a second tube thoracostomy.

In this study, we are aiming to identify the patterns of glaucoma observed and treated at Glaucoma Subspecialty Clinics of Kasr Al-Aini Hospital, Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt and corresponding clinics in Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya Post Graduate Institute of Ophthalmology in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India during the year 2018. We are hoping that this study would provide an update on current statistics available on Indian population as well as provide novel numbers on the prevalence of glaucoma and its patterns in one of the largest tertiary care hospitals in Egypt. These results will then be compared to patterns observed in other epidemiological studies done in other countries.
