NCT ID: NCT04623840 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Erectile Dysfunction

Combined Effect of Continuous and Interval in Addition to Tadalafil Drug on Erectile Dysfunction

Start date: October 12, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the persistent inability to attain and maintain a sufficient erection to permit satisfactory sexual performance. ED, a condition closely related to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, is frequently associated with obesity. The importance of reducing cardiovascular risk factors remains fundamental to the overall vascular good health of the man, and that includes sexual vascular health. ED shares similar modifiable risks factors with coronary artery disease (CAD). Lifestyle modification that targets CAD risk factors may also lead to improvement in ED.

NCT ID: NCT04623645 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Airway Complication of Anesthesia

Ultrasound Guided Superior Laryngeal Nerve Block Compared With Blind Block Technique

Start date: February 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of ultrasound guided technique for block of internal branch of superior laryngeal nerve in surgical patient in comparison to blind anatomical technique.

NCT ID: NCT04622202 Recruiting - Sedation Clinical Trials

Pre-emptive Pregabalin on Attenuating Maternal Anxiety And Stress Response To Intubation During Caesarean Section

Start date: November 15, 2020
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

There is exaggerated neuroendocrine stress response to laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation during the Induction to anesthesia-delivery (I-D) period under light anesthesia. Mechanical stimulation of laryngeal proprioceptors elicits increased secretion of cortisol and catecholamine with subsequent elevation of blood pressure from 40 to 50 % and heart rate up to 20 % during direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation

NCT ID: NCT04622098 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Esophageal Neoplasms

Prevalence of Sub-epithelial Lesions Among Patients Undergoing EGDs in Egypt

Start date: November 18, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Subepithelial lesions (SEL) are incidentally observed in the stomach of about 0.3% of middle-aged men and women; half of these are neoplastic. The incidence of subepithelial tumors (SET) of gastrointestinal (GI) origin has risen twofold to fivefold within the past 30 years. The etiology of most SMTs cannot easily be determined by endoscopy. So, we aim to estimate the prevalence and types of sub-epithelial lesions among patients undergoing EGDs in Egypt.

Rerouting Seton Versus LIFT for Complex Anal Fistula

Start date: November 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to compare the efficacy of two surgical techniques in treatment of complex anal fistulas. The first technique involves rerouting of the fistula tract with placement of a vessel loop seton around the internal anal sphincter, sparing the external sphincter whereas the second technique entails ligation of inter-sphincteric fistulous tract (LIFT). The main objectives of the study are to assess the success rate, time to healing, change in quality of life, and complications of each procedure including fecal incontinence.
