There are about 11256 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Egypt. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Comparison outcomes of a large cohort of moderate and severe COVID-19 patients received different Antiviral and Anti Inflammatory Drugs.
investigators will take stool and blood samples from two groups of humans :- 1-group A (healthy group negative Giardia or control group),2-group B (positive Giardia or case group)then investigators make estimation for vitamin D in both groups then investigators try to find if there is relation between vitamin D level and Giardia lamblia infections
This research aims to study the properties of metallic nanoparticles"MNPs" (silver nanoparticles "AgNps" and copper nanoparticles "CuNps") on the 2 most common nosocomial bacteria which are highly resistant to antibiotics including Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, to evaluate the growth inhibiting properties of MNPs on all bacterial isolates, to evaluate the biofilm inhibitory effect on biofilm forming bacterial isolates and the synergistic effect of these MNPs in combination with antibiotics on the antibiotic resistant isolates.
The second primary molar (SPM) development start at the same time as development of the first permanent molars (FPM) and permanent incisors so any systemic disturbance - causing stunted growth -occur , will result in hypo-mineralization of SPM as well as FPM and permanent incisors (Butler 1967, Weerheijm and Mejàre 2003). The literature shows no previous studies that discuss the association between hypo- mineralized second primary molar (HSPM), MIH and the stunted growth in children. aim: Estimate Prevalence of HSPM and MIH in stunted children.Evaluate the association between HSPM, MIH and the stunted growth in a group of Egyptian children. • The diagnostic criteria for MIH established based on the European Academy of Pediatric Dentistry criteria (Weerheijm and Mejàre 2003) while diagnostic criteria for HSPM was established by (Elfrink et al. 2008).
This study aimed to: detect difference in neurobehavior, maturity, Apgar score and birth weight of singleton conceived from fresh and frozen embryo transfer and naturally conceived.
During anesthesia and surgery, oxygen is routinely administered to all patients. Inspired oxygen concentrations, however, vary between 30% - 100% and oxygen is often administered in a seemingly random manner.
Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPSs) are a group of disorders caused by inherited defects in lysosomal enzymes resulting in widespread intra- and extra-cellular accumulation of glycosaminoglycan(1,2). They have been subdivided according to enzyme defect and systemic manifestations and include MPS IH (Hurler)(3) , MPS IS (Scheie), MPS IH/S (Hurler/Sheie), MPS II(4,5) (Hunter), MPS III (Sanfilippo)(6) , MPS IV (Morquio)(7,8), MPS VI (Maroteaux-Lamy)(9), MPS VII (Sly)(10,11) and MPS IX (Natowicz)(12). Mucopolysaccharidosis have a spectrum of systemic manifestations, including airway and respiratory compromise, skeletal deformities, intellectual and neurological impairment, cardiac abnormalities, gastrointestinal problems and ocular manifestations(13). Ocular manifestation are common in the mucopolysaccharidosis and may result in significant visual impairment(14). Corneal opacification of varying severity is frequently seen, as well as retinopathy, optic nerve swelling and atrophy, ocular hypertension, and glaucoma(14). New treatment modalities for the systemic manifestations of the mucopolysaccharidosis include bone marrow transplant and enzyme replacement therapy have resulted in an improved prognosis in many cases(15).
Blood samples will be taken from cases presenting with recurrent tinea versicolor , after confirmation of diagnosis by wood's light and KOH examination, for the detection of gene polymorphism in IL17 A and IL17 F. In addition , serum samples from patients and controls will be tested for 25(OH)2 D3
As the seating adaptations, ranging from simple to complex, standard and customized may facilitate optimal health and maximize functional participation despite limited postural control; the study will be conducted for determine the effect of contoured cushions as a seat adaptation on upper extremity function in children with spastic cerebral palsy and compare between the effect of flat cushion and contoured cushion in adaptive seating system on upper extremity function in children with spastic cerebral palsy.
metformin alleviates drug-induced osteoarthritis (OA)-like change in mice knee joint through activating autophagy and downregulating apoptosis. Metformin exerts its protective effects against OA through the AMPKa2/ SIRT1 pathway. Metformin suppresses IL-1β-induced oxidative and osteoarthritis-like inflammatory changes by enhancing the SIRT3/PINK1/Parkin signaling pathway, thereby indicating metformin's potential in prevention and treatment of osteoarthritic joint disease.
