SAFIR Family Talk - Investigating the Effect of The Family Talk Intervention

The goal of this clinical trial is to test the effect of the Family Talk Preventive Intervention compared to service as usual for families where a parent has mental illness. Participants are the parent with a mental illness receiving treatment from a secondary mental health service within the last two years from inclusion, their youngest child aged 7-17 years and the other parent of this child. The main questions it aims to answer are: Is Family Talk superior to service as usual regarding improving? - The child's level of functioning - The parent's sense of competence - Family functioning Participants will undergo interviews and fill out questionnaires. Half will be randomized to Family Talk and receive a manualized, family-based intervention of approximately 8 conversations with a trained, Family Talk interventionist. The other half will be randomized to service as usual which is normally two conversations with a professional in the mental health sector. The researchers will compare the two groups on child's level of functioning, parental sense of competence and family functioning.

Agreement Between Rolimeter and Lachmeter in Patients With ACL Injury

The study is a quality assurance study, aiming to determine the agreement between two different measurement instruments for assessing knee joint laxity in patients with ACL injuries. The study aims to include 60 patients with previous ACL injury, recruited in an outpatient clinic at Aarhus University Hospital from September 2022 to March 2023. For patients who consent to participate in the study, their knee joint laxity in both the injured and the non-injured knee is assessed using both a Rolimeter and a Lachmeter. Subsequently, the collected data are examined to determined the agreement between the two measurement instruments.

The Fast-track Centre for Hip and Knee Replacement Database

This is a prospective study-registry on preoperative patient characteristics and postoperative complications in patients having fast-track hip and knee replacement surgery in 8 Danish dedicated arthroplasty departments from all five health regions in Denmark. The registry consists of detailed patient and physician reported preoperative characteristics and including prescribed medication and lab results. Follow-up is based on electronical medical records by dedicated nurses with physician backup and includes Clavien-Dindo and Comprehensive Complication Index scoring. All patients having day-surgery also completes a patient reported questionaire on health-care utilization and return to work by day 30. Finally, a machine-learning algorithm for identification of "high-risk" patients based on he preoperative data is included.

Oxygen Targets in Acute Heart Failure With Pulmonary Congestion

This investigator-initiated, prospective, randomized, blinded, multi-center, controlled trial will investigate the effect of a restrictive vs. liberal oxygenation-strategy in patients hospitalized with acute heart failure with pulmonary congestion. Patients will be randomized 1:1 in the emergency department to either liberal or restrictive oxygenation after providing informed written consent. 1. Liberal oxygenation group = SpO2 target of 96%. 2. Restrictive oxygenation group = SpO2 target of 90%. The allocation will be concealed through the use of an oxygen-delivery robot, termed O2MATIC. The study will include 122 patients.

A Clinical Trial of Study Medicine (Marstacimab) in Pediatric Patients With Hemophilia A or Hemophilia B

The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine (called marstacimab) for the potential treatment of hemophilia in pediatric patients. This study will enroll pediatric participants from ages 1 to 17 years in a sequential manner. The study will open enrollment to adolescent participants aged 12 to 17 years first. Then children aged 6 to 11 years will be permitted to enroll. Lastly, children aged 1 to 5 years will be permitted to enroll. This study will enroll participants who: - have severe Hemophilia A or moderately severe to severe Hemophilia B (with or without inhibitors) - have accurate historical records documenting all factor VIII, factor IX, or bypass agent infusions and hemophilia bleed events for at least 1 year prior to entering the study - if a non-inhibitor patient, must be on a stable routine prophylaxis regimen with factor VIII or factor IX replacement products for at least 12 months prior to study entry - if an inhibitor patient, must be on an on-demand bypass treatment regimen during the 12 months prior to study entry All participants in this study will receive marstacimab to use prophylactically. Marstacimab will be given once a week as a subcutaneous (under the skin) shot. The first dose of marstacimab will be given at the study site by the study site staff. During the 12-month treatment period, weekly doses of marstacimab can be given at home, or if preferred, the doses may be given by the study site staff. To help us determine if the study medicine is safe and effective, we will compare participant experiences when they are taking the study medicine to a historical period when they were not. Researchers want to see if the study medicine works to prevent the bleeding episodes commonly experienced by patients with Hemophilia. Participants will be in this study for about 14 months (approximately 1 month in a Screening period, 12 months receiving treatment, and 1 month in a follow-up period) during which they will visit the study site at least 10 times. If preferred, and if local regulations allow it, 2 of the study visits can be completed at the participant's home instead of at the study site. There will also be 6 scheduled telephone calls approximately every 2 months.

Should Palatine Tonsils be Included in the Oropharyngeal Swab for SARS-CoV-2 Molecular Testing?

Citizens who undergo testing for COVID-19 at one of two Testcenters in Copenhagen Captial Region will be invited to participate in the study. The participants will be randomized to either an oropharyngeal swap including the palatine tonsils OR an oropharyngeal swap without the palatine tonsils for SARS-CoV-2 testing. The swabs will be sent to the clinical microbiology laboratory for SARS-CoV-2 detection using RT-PCR. The diagnostic accuracy and SARS-CoV-2 viral load will be compared. The participants will be asked to complete a questionnaire regarding their symptoms.

Localized prostate cancer is commonly treated with radical prostatectomy (RP). Following surgery adverse effects such as urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction associated with decreased quality of life and decreased physical function are common. Traditionally, interventions to reduce these adverse effects are introduced postoperatively. However, a growing body of literature shows the benefit of interventions prior to surgery to enhance treatment success, known as prehabilitation. Hence, the main purpose of this study is to develop and investigate the feasibility of prehabilitation using telehealth, to implement several interventions prior to elective RP.

The goal of this observational study is to longitudinally investigating subjects with inaugural acute optic neuritis (ON). The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does the time to corticosteroid treatment affect the visual outcome at 6 months in subjects with acute multiple sclerosis (MS)-, aquaporin 4-IgG positive (AQP4-IgG+) and myelin-oligodendrocyte-glycoprotein-IgG positive (MOG-IgG+) ON? - How differ clinical, structural, and laboratory biomarkers in subjects with acute ON, including clinical isolated syndrome (CIS), MS-ON, AQP4-IgG+ON, MOG-IgG+ON and seronegative non-MS-ON? Participants will undergo - clinical examination, including clinical history, neurovisual and neurological tests - serum and cerebrospinal fluid examination - optical coherence tomography (OCT) - magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - assessment of depression, pain, quality of life through validated questionnaires Researchers will compare subjects with MS-ON, AQP4-IgG+ON, MOG-IgG+ON and other ON (CIS, seronegative non-MS-ON) to detect diagnostic and predictive markers for the disease course.
