NCT ID: NCT02698319 Completed - Triage Clinical Trials

The Copenhagen Triage Algorithm

CTA
Start date: April 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Crowding in the emergency department (ED) is a well documented problem putting patients at risk of adverse outcomes. To combat this, most ED's use some form of triage. In the last two decades systematic triage or process triage has become the norm in most countries but this approach is supported by limited evidence. Our aim is to develop a faster triage model of only a few vital parameters, based on a data from a large cohort of unselected ED patients and evaluate if such a model combined with a clinical assessment by the ED nurse is inferior to existing triage models in a prospective cluster-randomized trial

NCT ID: NCT02697955 Completed - Arthritis Clinical Trials

The Effect of Subsartorial Saphenous Block on Postoperative Pain Following Major Ankle and Hind Foot Surgery

Start date: June 21, 2016
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The study investigates the effect of a ultrasound-guided subsartorial saphenous block on postoperative pain following major ankle and hind foot surgery.

NCT ID: NCT02697682 Completed - Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Treatment of Osteoarthritis With the Stromal Vascular Fraction of Abdominal Adipose Tissue - a Pilot Study

Start date: March 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To investigate the feasibility and short term safety issues of treatment of knee osteoarthritis with intra-articular injection with the stromal vascular fraction of abdominal adipose tissue (SVF) harvested and prepared using the Lipogems System. Hereby we wish to pave the road for a high quality randomized controlled trial investigating effectiveness of treatment of knee osteoarthritis with SVF looking at patient reported outcome, function, homeostasis of the joint and cartilage regeneration.

NCT ID: NCT02695810 Completed - Obesity Clinical Trials

The PRE-D Trial: Effect of Dapagliflozin, Metformin and Physical Activity in Pre-diabetes

Start date: February 24, 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The overall objective is to compare the short-term (3 months) effectiveness of three glucose-lowering interventions (dapagliflozin, metformin and physical activity) on glucose variability, body composition, and cardiometabolic risk factors in overweight or obese individuals with pre-diabetes (HbA1c 5.7-6.4% / 39-47 mmol/mol).

NCT ID: NCT02695745 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Experimental Biomarker Study for Pain Thresholds

Start date: September 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to characterize the heat pain tolerance threshold (HPTolTr) in primary hyperalgesic skin after topical capsaicin application, and to assess heat pain and mechanical thresholds (eg, pressure pain, stimulus-response) following skin sensitization by UVB (ultraviolet B) irradiation and topical capsaicin.

NCT ID: NCT02692716 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

A Trial Investigating the Cardiovascular Safety of Oral Semaglutide in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes

PIONEER 6
Start date: January 17, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted globally. The aim of the trial is to investigate the cardiovascular safety of oral semaglutide in subjects with type 2 diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT02690233 Completed - Myocardial Injury Clinical Trials

Perioperative Endothelial Dysfunction in Patients Undergoing Minor Abdominal Surgery

POETRYminor
Start date: February 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study on minor surgery serves to explore whether a dose-response relationship exists between surgical stress and endothelial dysfunction in the early postoperative period. The aim of this explorative and observational clinical study is to closely examine the endothelial function and its dynamics in the early postoperative period after minor surgery (lap. inguinal hernia repair). The endothelial function will be assessed indirectly by EndoPat and plasma biomarkers of nitric oxide bioavailability. The study will contribute to the understanding of perioperative myocardial injury, which is crucial for optimized treatment of patients at risk of cardiovascular complications.

NCT ID: NCT02690025 Completed - Clinical trials for Short Bowel Syndrome

A Phase 2 Trial Testing ZP1848 in Patients With SBS

glepaglutide
Start date: February 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A proof-of-concept, dose finding, controlled, single-center, randomized, double-blind, fixed dose phase 2 trial with ZP1848 in patients with Short Bowel Syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT02689986 Completed - Clinical trials for Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia

Bendamustine and Rituximab Combination Therapy for Cold Agglutinin Disease

CAD5
Start date: January 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Prospective, non-randomized multicenter study on the safety and efficacy of combination therapy with bendamustine and rituximab for chronic cold agglutinin disease.

NCT ID: NCT02687711 Completed - Clinical trials for Epilepsy With POS With or Without Secondary Generalization

Study to Look at How Effective Briviact is as add-on Treatment for Patients With Epilepsy With Partial Onset Seizures

BASE
Start date: February 1, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Study is the first study after commercialization of brivaracetam. It is designed to collect real world information on the effectiveness of brivaracetam in patients with Partial Onset Seizure epislepsy who are treated in standard clinical practice.
