NCT ID: NCT02761382 Completed - Chronic Pain Clinical Trials

Psychological Pain Treatment in Endometriosis

Start date: March 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates the effects of psychological treatment on pain, quality of life and work ability among women with endometriosis related chronic pelvic pain in a three-armed, randomised study. One group will receive mindfulness-based psychological treatment, the second group will receive a non-specific general psychological treatment (a psychological placebo) and the third group will be a waiting list control (treatment as usual).

NCT ID: NCT02761174 Completed - Telangiectasias Clinical Trials

Topical Brimonidine to Reduce Inflammation After IPL-treatment in Patients With Facial Telangiectasias

Start date: March 13, 2016
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is to investigate whether brimonidine cream can reduce IPL-induced inflammation in terms of redness, swelling and pain in patients with facial vascular lesions (telangiectasias). Furthermore, the effect of brimonidine cream on IPL-efficacy is evaluated one month after final IPL-treatment. The hypothesis is that brimonidine, which has been proved effective in reduction of symptomatic erythema in patients with rosacea, also may have the ability to reduce IPL-induced erythema. Since the potential reduction in erythema is caused by vasoconstriction, brimonidine may further reduce IPL-induced oedema and pain.

NCT ID: NCT02761161 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Treatment of Sleep Disturbances in Trauma-affected Refugees

PTF5
Start date: March 2016
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The overall aim of this study is to examine the effects of sleep enhancing treatment in refugees with PTSD.

NCT ID: NCT02760875 Completed - Clinical trials for Achilles Tendon Rupture

Foot Pressure Mapping and Tendon Length After Nonoperative Treatment of Acute Achilles Tendon Rupture

Start date: January 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Using a population of patients from another study, who was originally randomized to 2 different types of nonoperative treatment after an acute achilles tendon rupture, the length of the achilles tendon is examined using ultrasound, and foot pressure mapping is performed, 4-5 years after the injury.

NCT ID: NCT02760784 Completed - Clinical trials for Achilles Tendon Rupture

Medium Term Outcome of Nonoperative Treatment After Achilles Tendon Rupture.

Start date: January 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

A total of 56 patients completed a previous study regarding non-operative treatment for acute achilles tendon rupture. This study consists of an additional follow up after 4-5 years depending on original date of injury.

NCT ID: NCT02760329 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials

Observational Study of Obstructive Lung Disease (NOVELTY)

NOVELTY
Start date: July 25, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The NOVEL Observational longiTudinal studY (NOVELTY) is an observational study of obstructive lung disease and is a multi-country, multi-centre, prospective, longitudinal cohort study which will recruit patients with a diagnosis, or suspected diagnosis, of asthma and/or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Patients will undergo clinical assessments and receive standard medical care as determined by their treating physician. Patients enrolled in NOVELTY will be followed up yearly by their treating physician for a total duration of three years. In addition, patients will be followed up remotely every 3 months. The NOVELTY study will collect data currently lacking to allow for multinational data collection to fill regional/local gaps and improve comparability across regions.

NCT ID: NCT02759302 Completed - Clinical trials for Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy

MRI on Persons With Mutations in POMT2 Gene (LGMD2N)

Start date: April 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

POMT2 mutation is known to cause Walker Warburg Syndrome and Muscle-Brain-Eye syndrome. Recently it has been connected to limb girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD), a disorder characterized by muscle weakness and atrophy of the proximal muscles of the shoulder and pelvic girdles. LGMD is classified based on its inheritance pattern and genetic cause into more than 31 different types. LGMD with POMT2 mutations is a new phenotype - type 2N. Very few patients with the LGMD2N phenotype has been reported. In this study, the investigators examine five new cases with the LGMD phenotype. The primary aim is to examine the muscle involvement using MRI.

NCT ID: NCT02758041 Completed - Clinical trials for Facial Acne Vulgaris

Start date: February 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is proposed to evaluate Sebacia Microparticle treatment in patients with facial inflammatory acne vulgaris.
