NCT ID: NCT05110651 Withdrawn - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

The Danish Pre-HCQ COVID Dialysis Study

Start date: April 10, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Hydroxychloroquine has been shown to inhibit replication of SARS-CoV-2 in vitro. The presented multicenter parallel-group open-label randomized clinical trial aims to investigate the efficacy of prophylactic hydroxychloroquine on mitigation of risk of hospitalization due to COVID-19 in patients with end-stage renal disease.

NCT ID: NCT05066919 Withdrawn - Plantar Fascitis Clinical Trials

Operative Versus Non-operative Treatment of Recalcitrant Plantar Fasciitis - A Randomized Study

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to examine whether patients with heel spurs for more than 6 months, who have been treated conservatively, have better effect of surgery than further conservative treatment. The study is performed as a randomized trial with the inclusion of 32 patients divided between open plantar fasciectomy and conservative treatment. The primary endpoint is Self-Reported-Foot-And-Ankle Score (SEFAS-score) after 24 months. Secondary endpoints includes: Pain (Visual analogue score) at first step, rest and activity after 3, 6, 12 and 24 months, SEFAS-score after 3, 6 og 12 months, changes in gait after 6 months (measured with gait-analysis). All endpoints are measured at inclusion. The power calculation is based on the assumption that surgical treatment gives an improvement in SEFAS-score of 10 points (SD 7.9) after 24 months when compared to conservative treatment together with an alpha-value of 5 % and a beta value of 90 %.

NCT ID: NCT04965233 Withdrawn - Atopic Dermatitis Clinical Trials

Using a Telemedicine Approach in a Genome-wide Association Study of Atopic Dermatitis - Searching for Novel Biomarkers in Clinically Relevant Phenotypes

Start date: November 30, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Atopic eczema is a common skin disorder affecting at least 2-3% of the western population. Atopic eczema cannot be cured and therefore treatment aims to alleviate the symptoms of the disease. Today, many different medical treatments are available: from mild hormone creams to harsh systemic treatments. The treatment chosen depends in part on the severity of the eczema and on the treatment response of the individual. This practice may mean that some people with eczema undergo unnecessary treatment courses with associated side effects. We know today that eczema has a hereditary component, and different areas have been identified in the hereditary material that appear to play a role. Although it is thought that variations in specific areas of the inheritance material may influence how eczema is expressed in the individual, the significance of these variations is far from clarified. The investigators want to increase the knowledge about atopic eczema, about the disease and how in the future we can organize the treatment of eczema based on knowledge of our genetic material. In this study, the investigators want to elucidate whether there is a correlation between specific variations in the genetic material and how the eczema is clinically expressed. In addition, the investigators want to assess whether reports with specific information about the individual's genetic material in relation to his or her lifestyle can help retain participants in research projects.

NCT ID: NCT04857580 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Acute Coronary Syndrome

Pilot Study on the Effect of Intracoronary Cryotherapy on Stabilization of Vulnerable Plaque at Risk of Rupture

ICEBERG
Start date: September 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Atherosclerosis is a progressive inflammatory disease of the large and medium sized arteries, which is characterized by the formation of plaques in the vessel wall. The morphology and composition of the plaque play a major role in its stability during the development of the disease. The CTS system allows to deliver coronary cryotherapy intended for stabilization of vulnerable plaque with non-significant stenosis. Vulnerable plaque at high risk of rupture will be assessed by NIRS-IVUS imaging modality in patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). The ICEBERG study is an early feasibility single arm study enrolling a maximum of 45 patients. After enrolment of the first 5 patients in the First-in-Man safety cohort, the trial will enroll and randomize 40 eligible lesions in the randomized cohort of which 20 will be treated with cryotherapy.
