NCT ID: NCT01574053 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Huntington's Disease

Enroll -HD: A Prospective Registry Study in a Global Huntington's Disease Cohort

Start date: July 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Enroll-HD is a longitudinal, observational, multinational study that integrates two former Huntington's disease (HD) registries-REGISTRY in Europe, and COHORT in North America and Australasia-while also expanding to include sites in Latin America. More than 30,000 participants have now enrolled into the study. With annual assessments and no end date, Enroll-HD has built a large and rich database of longitudinal clinical data and biospecimens that form the basis for studies developing tools and biomarkers for progression and prognosis, identifying clinically-relevant phenotypic characteristics, and establishing clearly defined endpoints for interventional studies. Periodic cuts of the database are now available to any interested researcher to use in their research - visit www.enroll-hd.org/for-researchers/access-data/ to learn more.

NCT ID: NCT01567241 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Reproduction Dysfunction

Clinical Hypnosis During Insemination or Embryotransfer

Start date: March 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Does clinical hypnosis or relaxation music improve the pregnancy rate if reproduction techniques are required?

NCT ID: NCT01565096 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus Type II

Effect of Adding Vildagliptin on Beta Cell Function and Cardiovascular Risk Markers in Patients With Moderate Metabolic Control During Metformin Monotherapy

Start date: November 2011
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this pilot-study is to investigate the effect of Vildagliptin in comparison to glimepiride on beta cell function and the cardiovascular risk profile in patients previously treated with Metformin monotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT01555086 Recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Prospective Study to Compare a Limited Versus Extended Pelvic Lymphadenectomy During Prostatectomy

SEAL
Start date: August 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study examines Limited versus extended pelvic lymphadenectomy.

NCT ID: NCT01552239 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Soft Tissue Sarcoma of the Limb

Preoperative Radiotherapy for Sarcomas of the Extremities With Intensity-Modulation, Image-Guidance and Small Safety-margins

PREMISS
Start date: August 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Modern radiotherapy techniques in a neoadjuvant setting have the potential to minimize morbidity and maximize efficacy. An additional boost dose can be provided locally by HDR-brachytherapy in patients with positive margins after tumor resection. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the safety and efficacy of a combination of modern radiotherapy elements applied to the tumor and small volumes of surrounding normal tissue (IMRT, IGRT; brachytherapy in case of positive resection margin) and see how well it works in treating patients with High-Risk Soft Tissue Sarcoma of the Extremities.

NCT ID: NCT01550575 Recruiting - Chronic Pain Clinical Trials

Patient Retrospective Outcomes (PRO)

PRO
Start date: April 3, 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will evaluate de-identified (anonymous) data in subject medical charts to review the clinical outcomes of various treatment approaches in the treatment of chronic pain.

NCT ID: NCT01547208 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Ventricular Tachycardias

Does Timing of VT Ablation Affect Prognosis in Patients With an Implantable Cardioverter-defibrillator?

PARTITA
Start date: September 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess whether the burden of untreated non-sustained ventricular tachycardias (VTs), or episodes treated with anti-tachycardia pacing, correlates with appropriate implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) shock therapies and to evaluate if the timing of radiofrequency VT ablation affects the prognosis of ICD recipients.

NCT ID: NCT01547104 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

Effect of Linagliptin in Comparison With Glimepiride as Add on to Metformin on Postprandial Beta Cell Function, Postprandial Metabolism and Oxidative Stress in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: April 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this mechanistic study is to investigate the effect of Linagliptin in comparison to Glimepiride as add on therapy on several parameters characterizing postprandial metabolism and oxidative stress in type 2 diabetic patients on stable control with metformin.
