This study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of lenvatinib in combination with pembrolizumab versus standard of care (SOC) chemotherapy, and to also assess the safety and efficacy of lenvatinib monotherapy in participants with recurrent/metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC) that have progressed after platinum therapy and a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) or anti-programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor. The primary hypothesis is that lenvatinib + pembrolizumab is superior to SOC chemotherapy with respect to ORR per modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1 as assessed by blinded independent central review.

The induction of a full autophagic flow could inhibit the replication of beta-coronaviruses like SARS-CoV-2. Furthermore, P2Et can decrease the factors involved in tissue damage by reducing IL-6 and decrease ILC2 cells of the lung in animals with lung metastases (unpublished data). These antecedents suggest that the supplementation of patients with COVID-19 with the extract P2Et, could improve their general condition and decrease the inflammatory mediators and the viral load.
Recent COVID 19 pandemic has overwhelmed health services all around the world, and humanity has yet to find a cure or a vaccine for the treatment of patients, mainly the severe ones, who pose a therapeutic challenge to healthcare professionals given the paucity of information we have regarding SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis. Recently, reports mainly from China from patients treated with mesenchymal stem cells have shown promise in accelerating recovery, even in the critically ill and the therapy has sustained an increase in research because of it's powerful immunomodulatory effects, making it and interesting alternative in patients with lung and systemic inflammation. These effects could help treat a lot of patients and improve their outcomes, reason why phase I/II studies are needed to show their safety and experimental efficacy.
Abstract The objective of this study is to review, through prospective case research, the efficacy of oral chlorine dioxide in the treatment of patients with COVID infection 19. The research will be carried out between April and June 2020 with a quasi-experimental design in two health care centers on a sample of twenty (20) patients, through direct intervention, who will measure the changes in the manifest symptoms of infection and negativity. a COVID 19 after administration of the study preparation, to determine the effectiveness of chlorine dioxide in the treated group. Based on the results that are found and on the evaluation of efficacy on the basis of clinical improvement on a scale of 1 to 5, and of the negativization of COVID 19, we can conclude whether the therapeutic efficacy in this investigation is considered good by verifying whether or not there is efficacy of treatment with chlorine dioxide in COVID 19. With this research, it is hoped to stimulate the search for new therapeutic options in the treatment of COVID 19 and contribute to the development of NEW options in medications, considering the immense number of deaths and morbidity that currently exists in the present pandemic. Substudy 02B is part of a larger research study that is testing experimental treatments for melanoma, a type of skin cancer. The larger study is the umbrella study. The goal of substudy 02B is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of investigational treatment arms in participants with 1L advanced melanoma and to identify the investigational agent(s) that, when used in combination, are superior to the current treatment options/pembrolizumab monotherapy. Arm 1: Pembrolizumab + Vibostolimab was added in the base protocol on 13-Nov-2019, and enrollment into this arm has been completed. Arm 2: Pembrolizumab was added in the base protocol on 13-Nov-2019, and enrollment stopped prematurely on 15-Aug-2022. Arm 3: Coformulation Pembrolizumab/Quavonlimab was added in Amendment 01 on 20-Oct-2020, and enrollment stopped prematurely on 15-Aug-2022. Arm 4: Coformulation Pembrolizumab/Quavonlimab + Lenvatinib was added in Amendment 01 on 20-Oct-2020, and enrollment is ongoing. Arm 5: Coformulation Favezelimab/Pembrolizumab, Arm 6: Coformulation Favezelimab/Pembrolizumab + All-trans Retinoic Acid (ATRA), and Arm 7: Coformulation Favezelimab/Pembrolizumab + Vibostolimab were added in Amendment 04 on 10-May-2023, and enrollment for these arms will be initiated in July 2023.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate superiority of macitentan 75 milligrams (mg) in prolonging the time to the first clinical events committee (CEC)-adjudicated morbidity or mortality (M/M) event in participants with symptomatic pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) compared to macitentan 10 mg.
This is a multicenter, open label, non-comparative, single arm multi-country study in approximately 300 adult and pediatric subjects (≥ 6 years of age) with fascioliasis. The study population consists of male and female adult and pediatric patients (≥ 6 years of age). The study will enroll approximately 300 subjects with acute (minimum 15% of overall study population) or chronic fascioliasis. Enrolled subjects will receive two doses of 10 mg/kg of Egaten given approximately 12 hours apart. Subjects will be treated and followed up on an outpatient basis. After screening and post treatment, at Day 3 and Day 6 the subjects will be followed for safety and tolerability. These visits are primarily for safety follow up and may be telephonic or home visit by qualified personnel or onsite visits based on the investigator's discretion. During visits Day 10, Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90 post-treatment, the subjects will be followed for safety, tolerability and efficacy. On Day 15, Day 45 and Day 75, telephonic follow-up (primarily for safety) will be conducted.
