NCT ID: NCT05003505 Active, not recruiting - HPV Infection Clinical Trials

Characteristics of Vaginal and Intestinal Microbiota and Cervical HPV Infection

Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

There are different microbial communities on the surface of human body (skin, hair, nails, etc.) and in the cavity connected with the outside world. The human microbiota is the general term of the genetic information of microorganisms that coexist with human beings and cause various diseases under certain conditions. The results of human microbial genome analysis show that the microbial communities in different parts of the human body and different individuals have amazing diversity, some of which play an important role in human health, and some are closely related to diseases. Female lower genital tract infection is often associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and bacterial vaginosis (BV), such as cervical and vaginal precancerous lesions, cancer, condyloma acuminatum and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD). Persistent infection of high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) is closely related to the occurrence of invasive cervical cancer. New evidence suggests that vaginal microbiota composition is different in women with HR-HPV infection and high-grade cervical lesions. The increase of the severity of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia is related to the decrease of the relative abundance of vaginal Lactobacillus. In addition to vaginal microbes, the powerful intestinal flora is considered to be the "invisible organ" of the human body. There is a dynamic and balanced interaction network between intestinal microorganisms and human immune cells. Once the intestinal flora is out of balance, the changes in species, quantity, proportion, location and biological characteristics will cause a series of inflammatory reactions and immune system diseases, and even lead to cancer. Some studies have shown that there is a potential relationship between intestinal microorganisms and vaginal microorganisms. Recent research evidence suggests that the mutually beneficial relationship between oral bacteria and other vaginal bacteria supports the colonization of pathogens and may help maintain the characteristics of vaginal flora imbalance.

NCT ID: NCT05003336 Active, not recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Effects of Xiangshao Granules on Anxiety in Menopausal Women.

Start date: December 23, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Symptoms of anxiety are prevalent during the menopausal transition and early postmenopause. These symptoms are mainly improved by anti-anxiety agents, which are associated with some adverse effects including dizziness, sleepiness, and constipation and not all patients respond to currently available pharmacological treatments, thus novel agents with fewer side effects are needed. Some studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine can alleviate menopausal symptoms safely and economically, and improve quality of life. Xiangshao granules reportedly have good curative effects on menopausal symptoms and premenstrual syndrome and exhibit good safety. This study aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xiangshao granule in improving anxiety state of women with menopause syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT05002777 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Warm Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (wAIHA)

Efficacy, Safety and Pharmacokinetics of Rilzabrutinib in Patients With Warm Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (wAIHA)

Start date: December 7, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a single group treatment, Phase 2, open-label, study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of rilzabrutinib in adult patients with wAIHA. All participants will receive rilzabrutinib orally. The screening period is up to 28 days, followed by a treatment period of 24 weeks for Part A. Participants who complete Part A and are deemed eligible for Part B will continue to receive the study medication for 52 weeks following the Last Patient In (LPI-Part B). There will be a 7-day safety follow-up period after receiving the last dose of study drug either in Part A (for those not eligible for Part B or early terminated) or Part B. The estimated total duration of the study is approximately 137 weeks (Parts A and B), including the follow-up period. For participants deemed ineligible for Part B, the total length of the study will be 29 weeks (Part A only), including screening and the follow-up period. In Part B, participants who temporarily stop rilzabrutinib treatment and maintain a durable response from W50 to W74, will have their EOS visit at Week 75. In this case, participation will be for 79 weeks including the screening period.

NCT ID: NCT04999956 Active, not recruiting - Tooth Diseases Clinical Trials

Accuracy and Primary Stability in Immediate Implant Placement: Dynamic Navigation Versus Freehand

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prosthetic-driven immediate implant placement for optimal aesthetic restoration has been increasing in demand during the last decades but requires higher accuracy. Dynamic navigation has been reported better implant positioning. However, dynamic navigation's application to immediate implant placement has not been studied, and its exact role is still needed to be investigated further. Besides, implant insertion angle may influence primary stability, which is a prerequisite in achieving osseointegration, while dynamic navigation can precisely control angle and position. Therefore, the investigators designed a randomized controlled clinical trial study to verify the clinical efficacy of dynamic navigation and freehand in immediate implant placement. Patients will then be followed up one year after delivery of the crown to assess additional parameters.

NCT ID: NCT04999371 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Alcohol Use Disorder

Effects of Training Combined With a Small Financial Incentive on Reducing Alcohol Consumption

Start date: July 29, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The existing alcohol intervention studies are mainly conducted in developed countries, few studies have focused on alcohol consumption among ethnic minority migrant people in developing countries. To address this gap, the investigators aim to evaluate the effects of a brief intervention combined with a small financial incentive on alcohol consumption and health outcomes among the migrated population in Liangshan Prefecture. This study was conducted in Liangshan Prefecture for two reasons: first, Liangshan is a region located in the southwestern of Sichuan province and is populated by Yi minority, and the average income in Liangshan is just about two-thirds of the national average income. Second, a study found that the drinking rate of the Yi minority (47.9%) is higher than that of other regions in China. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of alcohol consumption among the ethnic populations in China and to test the feasibility and efficacy of small financial incentives with brief advice intervention targeting the reduction of harmful drinking behaviors among poor people.
