Retrospective Analysis of the Correlation Between Imaging Features and Pathology, Prognosis in Renal Tumors

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common malignant tumor in the kidney with a high mortality rate. Traditional imaging techniques are limited in capturing the internal heterogeneity of the tumor. Radiomics provides internal features of lesions for precise diagnosis, prognosis prediction, and personalized treatment planning. Early and accurate diagnosis of renal tumors is crucial, but it's challenging due to morphological and pathological overlap between benign and malignant lesions. The accurate diagnosis of RCC, especially for small tumors, remains a significant challenge. Recent studies have shown a relationship between body composition, obesity, and renal tumors. Common indicators like body weight and BMI fail to reflect body composition accurately. Research on the role of body composition, including adipose tissue, in tumor pathology could improve clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.

The aim of this study is to assess the association of socioeconomic factors, clinical characteristics and meteorological factors with cancer patients' suicide, based on retrospective cohorts, and to establish a suicide risk prediction model with multiple predictors for cancer patients.

Identifying Factors Influencing In-Hospital Relapse in Pemphigus Patients

The objective of this retrospective study was to investigate the factors influencing in-hospital relapse during acute episodes of pemphigus, an autoimmune blistering disease characterized by self-antibodies targeting desmogleins. The study included 96 pemphigus patients hospitalized in China between January 2014 and December 2020. The primary questions addressed by the study were: What are the risk factors associated with in-hospital relapse during acute episodes of pemphigus? Participants in the study underwent a retrospective analysis using univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis to identify and understand the various risk factors contributing to in-hospital relapse. This research aimed to contribute valuable insights into the factors influencing the course of pemphigus, providing crucial information for better management and treatment strategies.

The Association Between Obesity-Related Indicators and Adverse Outcomes in Ischemic Stroke Patients

The study population comprised patients experiencing acute first-ever ischaemic stroke, with diagnostic criteria established in accordance with the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision. All subjects presented rigorous neuroimaging evidence, including head computed tomography and/or magnetic resonance imaging, which underwent review by two or more experienced neuroradiologists. Adverse outcomes were characterized as compliant endpoint events, encompassing mortality and recurrences. Immunotherapy in Uncommon and 20ins EGFR-mut Lung Cancers

Immunotherapy effectiveness and optimal combination strategy in lung cancers with EGFR uncommon and 20ins mutations was unclear. Based on 627 lung adenocarcinoma patients harboring EGFR mutations and receiving immunotherapy, we reported that patients with EGFR uncommon mutations had better response to immunotherapy, than EGFR 19del/L858R or 20in mutations. Immunotherapy monotherapy or plus chemotherapy was identified as better combination strategy for EGFR uncommon or 20ins mutations, respectively. Higher tumor mutation burden, more M1 macrophage, less Tregs and M2 macrophages infiltration, but not PD-L1 expression was found to be associated with EGFR uncommon mutations, compared to EGFR 19del/L858R or 20in mutations. These findings revealed diverse response and optimal combination strategy of lung adenocarcinoma patients harboring EGFR mutation subtypes, promoting rethinking about current immunotherapy application and prolonging survivals of them.
